Comic Spotlight: Lemonhead and Lollipup

Today's comic spotlight is on Lemonhead and Lollipup, a fairly popular comic on tumblr! It stars a sourpuss named Lemonhead and a sweet poodle named Lollipup, two best friends who don't always get along but always love each other!
You may remember them from a very popular comic called "Old Wounds," which not only very effectively established two characters you may have never seen before, but also provided a powerful and relatable work of art for readers who struggle with trauma. The series also features explicitly gay and transgender characters, clearly demonstrating that it's made for everyone.
In an average Lemonhead and Lollipup comic, you can expect to find pure, unadulterated fun. The style and humor of the comic have been likened to 90's cartoons, with plenty of slapstick antics that push the characters' emotions, and you can see it in the wonderfully exaggerated expressions!
It also helps that every single panel is a piece of eye candy, beautifully crafted in mixed media that conjures up images of crayons and cotton candy, and everything else sweet in life. It's clear that the author puts lots of love into every comic!
In the end, no matter how much the characters tease each other, this series is about love! These comics are sure to make you smile, so go check out the creator's dedicated blog at @lemonheadandlollipup and read all you can!
