Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #2
Variant by Federico Vicentini
the thunderbolts server stays finding peak images for me to draw over with my nonsense. Especially from a PEAK show I love bones so much. The people WILL see my Fixer/Mentallo fankid Hamlet, the people WILL love Hamlet.
Listen! Marvin's busy with a big casino bust, and Zemo's too busy to babysit. OBVIOUSLY Norbert had to sneak him into work, it's definitely not because he missed him or anything...
super old moonhawk fanart I made <3
I need to post more about Mel to cleanse her tag holy shit. She was NEVER referred to as Melissa Gold or Songbird in the movie PLEASE STOP TAGGING YOUR MCU POSTS AS SUCH
I miss when Karla used to change the cadence of her voice to manipulate people into viewing her differently. I get that it's not often useful in a fist fight, but that's exactly why she should rarely ever be in one. Her true power has ALWAYS been her mind.
Also, her strategy has always been to bind people to her. To be their kid sister, their lover, their mother, etc, and get them attached so she could pull at the strings. She used kindness and connection as a means to control people.
Just because she used the role of lover for Graviton and more prominently Clint and because the "femme fatale" trope is more enjoyable for male audiences when it's overly sexualized, Karla has become a character that does nothing but sleep around to control people when that was NEVER something she generally did.
(Or she's just some henchman that does whatever the guy in charge tells her, which goes against the very core of her character and her deep-rooted fear of inferiority. Even before her backstory was expanded on, she often had ulterior motives when working for people and was intelligent enough to abandon their schemes when it didn't benefit her anymore. She often surrendered without a fight and held no grudges because acting out of ego is neither intelligent nor beneficial).
She slipped into the role of mother for Hallie just as easily. She could make people feel paternal towards her. She could suddenly sound so young that people would pull their punches out of empathy.
God, every time I think about what's been done to her (and how deeply intertwined it is with the sexism in the comic book industry), I feel like throwing up.
some of my moonhawk art 😢😢
