Aw yeah, Steph!!!
Jack is sort of being overdramatic but also not but the implication that he's willing to die here to break Bruce's supposed mind-control over his son -to die to win, hmmmm..... yeah I can see the resemblance. Also Bruce is especially ugly in this issue, for some reason.
I- Alfred!😂😂😂😂😂😂
The contrast between Bruce and Tim here. Tim isn't just Robin, he's got a lot of things and people he'd miss in the mask, but the same goes out of it. And Tim's actually really open to it, even in previous issues, he's open to trying it and he can learn to live and enjoy life as either vigilante or civilian, because regardless of what name he's being called by he's still going to help one way or another. Whereas Bruce has a specific idea of how he wants to help, like a specific issue he's very passionate about contributing to, while Tim really is just there to help at the moment in whatever way is needed in right now, it may be a different type of assistance you need later, but he'd help you all the same. And this isn't saying that Bruce is neglecting every other cry of help that isn't violent crime or solvable by punching things, he has WE (and him putting less time there compared to Batman has been shown), their approach is just different.
Tim could stand in a street corner and get stuck there forever because he's helping every single person that passes by. Bruce can't stay still in that corner and would follow the flow of the crowd for the loudest cry of help. Like Bruce would be the one heading rallies and setting up organisations for his cause, talking people into posting for awareness and signing petitions and getting the principal to hold a variety show for the local homes, while Tim would lend a hand when he sees they could use another pair (which is literally what happened in canon), correct misinformation he comes across, and contribute by donation and signing those petitions. Not better or worse, just different.
Yeah, took some time to get used to him, but Tim baby, once you got used to him its now hard to get used to not being with him huh.
I know I mentioned it at least once that Steph would make a cool day hero.
Edit: I needed to edit this because my god this transition! So beautiful!
Darla kissing Tim while Steph watched ('you ratfink skunk') and Tim rejecting Darla because he's already 'commited' and then Bernard is having dinner with Tim's parents.
Although, come to think of it, was it ever cleared up that Tim wasn't cheating on Steph, cos pretty sure Steph died before they could have proper talk about this?
Tim:......................
Tim makes sure to look extra innocent: Batman, I-
It's literally the greatest compliment Tim has ever received (it's one thing to say you lie to Batman but another to say you lie to Batman regularly while lying to Batman about your ability to lie), and granted, it might be due to a couple of regaining memories shenanigans, but still, right? -considering that the circumstances for most of the time Tim lies to Batman are usually resulted because of Bruce being a jerk and Tim rightfully going 'well, if he doesn't respect me enough to not manipulate me then he'll get a taste of his own medicine' (example, lying to B about Danny not knowing about Robin which happened after Bruce manipulated Stephanie into learning Tim's secret identity, and lying about the uncle I think is just what happens when you repeatedly prove to a teen that he shouldn't trust anyone including you oh my god i wonder why Tim doesn't trust me to be his primary and sole guardian to have complete legal responsibility and control of him no really what have I ever done uwu), after all, if he shoved his own deeds under the carpet then there wouldn't be any reason, in his memory, that Tim should, or have ever, lied to him.
If Bruce has to face the fact that Tim has lied to him, then he also has to face what he'd done for the kid to deem that he ever merited that response.
So. Tim doesn't lie to Batman.
Pestering mom to go to the pool/arcade.
There's more.
The gall!! THE UTTER GALL OF THIS BASTARD!!!
"He was betrayed by the both of us."
This is on you and only you, Bruce. Why are you including Steph? You literally picked her off the street and told her Tim's secret! You could've chosen not to as you'd have expected of Tim but you did and now you're making a teenage girl share your responsibility! You didn't want to confront Alfred so you made Tim confront Steph, you selfish hypocritical bastard!!
And this!!! Look at Alfred's reactions and the way he excuses Bruce's actions!! This wouldn't be the first or the last time!!! Alfred you're really making me hate you!
Down the line he even assumes that Tim will forgive them for causing a mental breakdown.
Oh wait, never mind. It seems he really is just trying to not stress Tim further by dwelling-
Nevermind NEVERMIND!!!! Now Steph gets all the blame?! Now it's her trustworthiness and capabilities that are put under spotlight to keep it away from Bruce?!
I wanna ask others who have more knowledge but did Babs have anywhere near as horrid a reception from Bruce and Alfred? What makes them different? Barbara, Steph, and Tim? If you base on tragedy people's rights for respect, Bastardman, then Steph who has an abusive criminal father who doesn't go on to become a criminal herself but an antithesis-
It seems as if Tim is the only one angry with the right person WTF?!
(Gonna continue)
-"Both of you be quiet."
-"Both of you shut up "
I adore Red Tornado in Young Justice. I just love Redy.
Also-
"Take Batman for example. He trusts me to keep his secrets, to cover his back. I trust him the exact same way. He knows that I'll always consult him on anything having to do with those secrets, and vice versa. Because of that implicit trust, our relationship works and it's unique."
See upcoming issues of Robin to see that trust put to the test.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is hilarious in such a heartbreaking way because good lord, Tim trusts Bruce to be a decent human being.
Have I mentioned how much I love Young Justice. It's so fun, and it's so -teen read. It honestly never gets old and every time I reread I just end up with more characters I want to read about.
Edit: I've read the Ray comics coz of YJ.
