Another Gaza Scam awareness post/meme [created in cooperation with different TST server members]

lol normally wouldn't do this but was recently contacted on here for a commission after posting some RM fanart.

I won't lie, the account seemed quite suspicious as I was messaged only a few minutes after initially posting, and they didn't have much information on their account. However, they had reblogged and liked other fanarts. So I took a risk and asked them to message me on my Instagram. Which, surprisingly, they did. Within seconds.

The tumblr account is "claraleon1u"

Their instagram account "clar_ae2"

Couldn't shake the weird gut feeling that it wasn't a real person (scam commissions are very common, this isn't my first rodeo). However, they even sent across full wedding photos with a crazy big budget of how much they're willing to spend. They're very adamant about sending the money ASAP via PayPal. Not gonna lie, I was falling for it a little, but I JUST HAD THIS FEELING.

Anyways, after doing some DIGGING AROUND, there are many users on here naming the account as a scam and warning people not to interact with them. Their profile pictures appeared on a Russian dating website under 'Joyce' when I reverse-image searched them.

SO IF THIS ACCOUNT CONTACTS YOU, I'M PRETTY SURE IT'S A SCAM.

I've since blocked and reported the account :)

He asked me to give him my email address, which is a serious mistake and they could scam you and take money. Be very careful. Remember that these types of people start by asking you to make a portrait of a family member or pet. In my case, he wanted me to draw his son's pet, and he blocked me when he saw that I refused to give him my email. I'm really sorry if you see any grammatical or spelling mistakes, I'm not good at English.

I'm just making this post to warn more artists about this user and more like him.

Hey everyone, I don't know how many people are aware of this but there is an art commissions scam going around.

Recently, there have been multiple accounts that have tried to request the exact same commissions from me back to back (a person trying to get a drawing of their pet dog made for their "son")

They have used these images:

They may come off as nice and willing to pay top dollar for the commission but PLEASE be cautious and don't jump to do the commission right away. (I wasted a lot of time worrying about completing the commission when it turned out to be a scam)

I hope other artists see this and are more cautious than I was when accepting commissions.
