Love how dick didn’t even come there to do this. It was just a stop along the way.

Batman and Robin #12
Tbh i was actually hoping that Robins wouldn't win... I know i kno not a very nice opinion BUT i was hoping to not see even more miss characterization -- it just feels like every time they put all robins together they dumb them down to like 'basic traits' which are not accurate at all (like in B&Robin eternal i think -- the 'Tim is Brain, Jason is Muscle, Dick is Compassion' and so on.
I fear Dick from pre-crisis/ the older, competent Dick just isnt coming back (except for Future State. That, that I respect)
As much as I would enjoy more panels with man-bun Dick, I feel the same way in terms of not caring all that much to read an issue that I can already tell is going to either be OOC or just makes all the Robins into flat characters.
That’s a fear of mine as well. So far we have the writers who don’t understand the assignment in Rebirth:
Seeley, Percy, King, Lobdell, Jurgens (eh maybe I’ll cut him a little slack), Taylor (to some extent, we shall see), and Sheridan. I can’t believe I kinda want to put fuckin Tomasi here as well but it doesn’t seem totally fair since his issues in Detective Comics weren’t focused on Dick. (Also, yes, there are good moments throughout these writer’s works but there’s also much to be desired in certain areas).
Now let’s compare that to the few writers who do understand the assignment:
Constant, Williamson, and Humphries.
The scary thing is that the people who do understand the assignment are the ones with the shortest runs, and two of them didn’t even write for the Nightwing title.
Dick beats Paragon
Grayson #8
Dick drags a suspect screaming through the streets and threatens to drop him in the middle of traffic
Batman and Robin #3
Dick and Cass race inside the amphitheater where Bruce is fighting (Legends of the Dark Knight #184)
Dick grayson would accidentally give away his identity on social medi-no. No he would not.
Man was literally tortured and didn’t say shit about anything
For a long time I thought Robin was his son, but now I know he was…chosen.
I don’t know much about their history except for what’s already passed into legend; Batman and Robin, the dynamic duo—mentor and sidekick—family by choice if not blood.
I’ve never caught his civilian name, but I do know that the first Robin has been heroing since he was a little kid—and that he’s friends with almost everyone in the superhero community.
I also know that even though things must have been rough between him and Batman sometimes, he’s wicked loyal…even now, even though he wears a different costume and answers to the name “Nightwing.”
(Batman: The 12-Cent Adventure #1)
Let it never be forgotten that dick grayson apparently just had this inside his pants. Like that is not a pocket grab, that is a fingerprint dusting kit in my waistband grab
