con-: a prefix used to combine multiple definitions of a gender or multiple genders with the same name into one gender that is all of their definitions at once.

ori-: a prefix used to group together multiple definitions of a gender or multiple genders with the same name into one gender that can be one, multiple, or all of their definitions at once depending on the user.

for anon! ‘con’ is an english prefix used to denote combination/togetherness/etc. and ‘ori’ is a romanian prefix meaning ‘any’.

to give an example of how these work, let’s say there are two terms named examplegender. one is defined as ‘a gender that is an example of something’ and the other is defined as ‘a gender that is related to examples’. using the prefixes, conexamplegender would be ‘a gender that is an example of something and that is related to examples’, while oriexamplegender would be ‘a gender that is an example of something and/or is related to examples’.

Tiny Curiosity: Prefixes Co-, Con- and Com-

The prefixes "co-", "con-", and "com-" share similar etymological root from Latin “cum”, meaning "with" or "together”.

"Co-" is used before roots starting with vowels. 

"Con-" tends to be used before roots starting with consonants.

"Com-" is a variant of "con-" used before roots starting with "m," "p," or "b" to facilitate pronunciation. 

However, there are exceptions to these rules.
