Tonight was the banquet for my school's swim team. I've been on the team all four years, and I have to say that it's been the source of some of my best memories. My coaches are like no others. My teammates are all so nice to me even when I don't deserve it. I just live the positive energy so much. And I'm going to miss my coaches, my teammates, and the whole experience. But the most amazing thing for me, tonight, was receiving the "Heart of the Lion" award. I wasn't expecting it at all. Basically, it's for the girl who shows all the attributes of what it means to be an O'Hara athlete, a lion. It's the all-around award for dedication to the team, academics, and school spirit. And I was so happy when I got it! I was so surprised and it made my night. I really am going to miss my team so much. The girls are my sisters, the coaches are like older brothers to all of us. Everyone is so encouraging and funny and nice. We're one big family. I love it, and I'll never forget these experiences. I feel seriously blessed.
