I have a new character designed for my original story; meet Tynan Cloudfoot, zoanite type therapod dinosaur. He's based on medium sized carnivorous therapod dinosaurs, ones like Nanotyrannus (you can tell by the name) and Condorraptor. I had thought of basing him off of raptors like Utah raptor, but I thought that might be a touch too edgy.
Tynan is replacing my liger OC Lygron as the protagonist of Kingdoms of Gaia (I might rename it Lands of Gaia). I thought in a world of human/animal hybrids that a dinosaur would be more unique. Even in the setting, dino people are extremely rare. Tynan's parents are both bird people, and him coming out as a dino is a bit of an anomaly. It led to Tynan not fitting into his quiet little village, and he eventually ran away and become mentored by the mercenary lion/leopard zoanite, Sundiata, in the way of the Rending Claw.
Tynan hopes to someday find others like himself, and believes that the dragon zoanites that rule the Golden Empire could have answers. In addition to the claws on his hands and feet, Tynan also has spurs he can grow from his elbows and heels, and his tail is strong enough to use like a bludgeon. Despite being a dino, he's only average height at 5'8".
I've had Tynan on my mind a while now and it's good to finally get him out. I've been obsessing over dinosaurs lately and it has led to this. I might use Lygron in some other way, but right now I have another tiger zoanite I'm itching to design as Tynan's rival.
Here he is shirtless;

Condorraptor was a megalosauroid dinosaur from the Canadon Asfalto Formation in Argentina, during the Middle Jurassic Period (anywhen from 174.1 million years ago to 163.5 mya). It is based only on a tibia, though there is a partial skeleton that might be from the same individual. It is a Megalosauroid and is closely related to Piatnitzkysaurus. It shared its habitat with Eoabelisaurus, Patagosaurus, Piatnitzkysaurus, Tehuelchesaurus, Manidens, and Volkheimeria.
