We had a rare weekend off life recently and headed out to stay in Dingle, Co. Kerry. A good two hour spin from our home along roads that are worthy of the most dramatic movie scenes imaginable.

Nog één keer neem ik jullie mee op mijn rondreis door Ierland, met mijn twee schatten.

De vorige keervertrokken we naar Dingle, en daar neem ik de draad terug op. Veel regen hebben we niet gehad, en als het al eens regende tijdens onze trip, dan tijdens de nacht, of terwijl we in de auto zaten. It was raining as we drove up Connor Pass, the road twisted and turned in front of us as we crawled up the steep mountain. We stopped at the top and waited for the rain to pass, the skies clearing slightly, just enough for us to see the lake below. The wind whipped against our faces as we watched the clouds moving up and over the cliffs, the sun barely able to make it’s way through the stormy skies. Neither of us wanted to leave this beautiful spot, it was magical, something that will be sealed in our memories forever. → Peter Schweitzer
