The Western Wall saga is really a desire by Reform and or women to be recognized as equals in Judaism. Reform is modern day Judaism. It is a place where people like me (feminist/lgbtqia), who don't feel we have a place in Orthodox Judasim. When I hear of the Western Wall saga or that an Orthodox Rabbi won't even share a stage with a Reform Rabbi. I feel it is a slap to the face. With the rising levels of antisemitism and the sake of our future, Judaism needs to be united.

There are many ways to be a modern Jew. Although you and I both feel that the most meaningful, inclusive, and righteous form of Judaism is through a progressive lens, we cannot use the same spight back towards other denominations.
