Expression practice!
Expression practice with Lefty cuz im feeling™
here’s an ugly dump. i started off wanting to draw the whole team, but then got frustrated on mastering Emily’s face (which i still haven’t). anYHOw. enjoy. or don’t, options.
kinda prefur my last drawings of callie over this one because the color contrast was sharper & they had more of a gargoyle look, but this one is still alright to post. it's cute nyantheless...
So...there is a lot to catch up here.
Totally not because I didn't upload this blog for almost a year or anything. I keep telling myself I need to write something, but I never get to work on it. It's been a month since I came back home after the exchange period is over. Uni isn't opening soon and I'm getting bored, so why not use this blog to reflect on what happened? Let's see where I left from my last update. Ah, yes. Part time job interview. To my surprise, I got the job. I wouldn't say I did great on the interview. The manager is known to be generous with foreign students and I was technically recommended by another foreign student who work there so that helped. I even got to befriend a coworker. She was a high school student working the same shift as me. I unfortunately couldn't remember her name (we only talked once), but she started a conversation with me because she saw my itabag in the locker! She had a lot of Chiikawa keychains on her bag. We talked about our interests for a bit before leaving the place for the night. She didn't know the characters on my bag but she was into a lot of projects I know like Twisted Wonderland and more. I went back to my dorm content. I may accidentally touched the stove and burned my finger, but I made a friend. I was finally getting the hang of the work here. It can only be better from now on. Little did I know that it was going to be my last shift of my job. My parents found out that my work schedule is late in the night and they didn't like it. You need to hear their excuses.
"The Night is too dangerous!" "What if there is an earthquake?!"
Yeah... Like. Are they fucking stupid. We fought over the phone for over an hour. In the office. Right before my shift started. I was crying. The store managers tried to help convince my parents, but they wouldn't listen. I haven't finished training when I had to sign my paper to leave. It hasn't even been a month since I was working there. I somehow found 10k yen delivered to my bank account later and I felt even worse. Whenever I go to that part of the city, I never step foot in that store again. I was too shamed to look at their faces from all the drama I caused. I didn't find another part time job after that because my classmates from uni have gathered in Japan around that time and we were planning to travel together. I had fun with everyone but I wish I still had the job to help recover some money because some of those trips were really expensive. I'll talk more about them on another post.
(its been less than a week and im already thinking of quitting)
