His other hand reach blindly for another of the same flower, nonchalantly spinning it. Attention kept on his girlfriend, only for words to come throught;

''You're good with flowers yeah?, are you familiar with what this one means?'', while the Drude did already know of its symbolism, he wanted to test out if she did too.

Is Alhaitham busy? Rukkhadevata couldn't tell, not from where she was, so instead of potentially bothering him the former Archon simply continued to watch from just around the nearby doorway, waiting ... Albeit rather impatiently.

He could feel the former Archon's presence, lingering just out of sight, letting him work in peace for some time... but at this point he was just wondering how long she would wait outside before getting impatient and interupting. Alhaitham leaned back in his chair, stretched back and yawning.

"So tiring, if only there was a gorgeous immortal woman to comfort me."

How silly it felt, for her mask to still be present even before someone so important to her. Head tipped to lean into the gentle touch, seeking out more of it as a shaky breath left parted lips.

" I… I think it's time I let the teahouse go. Close it for good, and see where life takes us. I'm sure I'll get bored in no time without work, so I don't expect you to support us on your own. "

he should've known that there was nothing in this world that his lovely wife wouldn't figure out. he liked to think of himself as someone capable of hiding a secret, of walking the land however he saw fit without her even noticing, but she notices. him. this being that had been outcast by his own society had been granted the attention of someone so kind and loving. he still struggled to understand how or why.

so he comes closer, kneeling at first in front of her, placing a loving kiss upon the crown of her head, before opting on sitting right next to reine against the tree. the breeze is soft and still cold from the early morning - it's an incentive to put a gentle arm around her shoulders and pull her closer, sharing the warmth his body provided. ❝ couldn't manage to sleep, too much on my mind, i suppose. ❞ a soft hum followed by another gentle kiss to her temple. ❝ i'm alright, kitten. i just thought i'd leave as to not wake you - i was hoping you'd get some extra rest. ❞
