    “Hold on, Captain!” Mark’s face contorted as he struggled to keep a hold on your arm, his grip the only thing keeping you from tumbling into the wormhole yawning open beneath– behind? Direction didn’t matter in space– you. He lay on his stomach in the open airlock, only his head and shoulders visible.

    You clung to him desperately, your legs dangling, sweat pouring down your forehead despite the chilling cold permeating your suit. Terror made your breaths come in ragged gasps. 

    “Just let go!” You cried, risking a glance back over your shoulder. Blue overwhelmed your vision, overwhelmed you. You looked back at Mark. His hair was a mess inside his helmet, the visor fogged. Still, you could see his brown eyes, wide and panicked. “I’ll come back, anyway.”

    Mark’s voice crackled through your speakers, cutting in and out due to the wormhole’s interference. “I can’t do that again! I can’t – lose you again.”

    “You need to let go.” You forced your tone into a hard edge, despite the terror, despite wanting to beg, to plead, hold on, hold on. “That’s an order.”

    His grip was slipping anyway, inch by inch. “I can’t.” Mark bit out anyway. “I can’t do that.”

    “I’ll do it then.” It took everything to raise your hand. To pry his fingers from your arm. “I’ll see you soon,” you managed, flashing him a weak grin. 

    Then, you let go, and fell into the wormhole.

the real question is can i think of one that i haven't already rambled about on here before HFKLDSJF okay i know i've mentioned that i headcanon him with super curly hair, and i think that once he starts to settle down with y.n. more(/get more comfortable in his gender identity DON'T think i've forgot about transfem genderfluid actor it never dies) he starts to grow it out, but the thing is. he does not know how to take care of curly hair. and unfortunately, neither does y.n. (my self insert does not have curly hair lmao) so it's a lot of googling and trial and error to figure out how to take care of it......eventually they get a good routine for him though, which is good because he LOVES having long hair, it makes him feel so pretty 🥺 he also loves putting little barrettes/clips in it, i had the thought of him having little rose clips in it a while ago and hrhrghghhg he's so CUTE.....
