Day 2416 - A zucchini we had got dried out before we could eat it, so we decided to try making zucchini chips to salvage it. They didn’t turn out as we wanted, but life wouldn’t be very interesting if everything worked perfectly on the first try.
After hesitating for several years, I finally got my hands into this book!
Highly recommended for those that enjoy science and cooking.
light bulb moment: you can use your aebleskiver pan for things other than aebleskivers :
little sweet cakes (cup cake) / scones
scrambled eggs or small hen and quail eggs 'poached'
poached apple, whole & small like red flesh (biggish crabapple)
meat balls (including fish), mound in with scooper or hand-form
I have a cast iron pan so I wouldn't use meat products for fear of imparting off-taste into the seasoning (do I need a second pan for meats?) but thinking thoughts ....just use your oven instead of top cooker.
I wonder if I could make miniature dutch babies?! or a popover since they are so similar ..... cooking science!
