hello there! I've recently gotten into Legend of Zelda and seeing your Pokemon crossover with it was super cool. It's so exciting to see two of your favorite things together, and Ingo amd Link together is awesome. Silly question but I'm curious on what you think a pokemon team for Rauru would look like? Dw if you can't answer but I wanted to share how much I enjoy your work!
Hmmmm! Rauru…King of Light. One of the last Zonai, a draconian race who can change into immortal dragons through a forbidden rite…

I can see him favoring Fairies maybe, having an advantage over Dark types. Also Dragon (Zonai lore), Psychic (his third eye), & Grass (the greenery that shows up around the Light Roots under his & Sonia’s shrines). I can also see a Legendary on his team (Xerneas was actually the first Pokémon that popped into my head when I read your Ask - regal with a crown of antlers, & a similar face-shape to Rauru).
He’d also probably like Pokémon associated with light in general (eg. evolves during the day, has Sunny Day &/or Solar Beam/Blade). Also more ancient-looking Pokémon found in ruins (we’re talking about the ancient first king of Hyrule after all). Then there’s the Ultra Hand’s abilities, which were of course originally Rauru’s abilities.

Sketching out a team was tricky - here’s a quick one I threw together thanks to My Pokémon Team (my main resource for sketching out teams)
Xerneas is his final Pokémon, the crown of his team, while his Drought Ninetales starts with the sun (their tails also reminds me of his long mane of hair). At least 2 can learn Solar Beam, & other powerful moves like Dazzling Gleam, Psychic, Earth Power, etc. It’s not a perfect fit, but not bad on the spot, I think! ☀️
I’d have wanted to give him a Dragon, but the only one that really fit the more “Long” dragon (serpentine Eastern Dragon) feel of the draconified Zonai was Rayquaza, & he already has Xerneas. IDK. Their ability Airlock would also get rid of Sunny Day. Eh. Oh well. XD

Clearly I had a lot of fun with this - thanks for the interesting Ask! Hero of Bombs has been on the mind a bit, since Age of Imprisonment: I didn’t play it, but watched the whole story - I thought it was pretty cool! Just wished they answered that big question we all had since TotK (for the Royal Family to exist as it does, with blood from both of them, Sonia & Rauru must’ve had a child together, right? So, who & where are they?)
It’d be nice to draw more on it sometime. For now, I got other stuff to take care of >u< *mix mix mix*
