Core in the weight room: Alternating sets between 4x15 back extensions (25, 25, 30, 35lbs) and 4x15 oblique pulls on each side (45, 50, 55, 55lbs) No rest in between sets these sets then 3x10 hanging reverse crunches. 1x6 hanging oblique twists 2x15 full range crunches on the exercise ball (20, 25lbs) 2xfail isolated crunch with 25lbs First set fail: 7 reps Second set fail: 7 reps

Began with a short dynamic warm up to loosen the legs and hips from yesterday. I went to the gym and completed the following core routine: 4x15 back extensions (25, 30, 30, 35lbs) 4x15 oblique bends (45, 50, 50, 55lbs) on each side These two exercises were done with no rest, oscillating from one to the other. 4x15 full range crunches on the exercise ball (20, 20, 25, 25lbs) 3x12 hanging oblique twists over an upright bench 3x10 hanging reverse crunches

I have a hard time just sitting and watching TV. Much to my wife's annoyance, I instead use that TV time for stretching, myofascial rolling, or core work. I posted my favorite kettlebell core exercises, but here is another group of exercises to add some variety to your core work. I use a 16 kg kettlebell for each of the ab and core exercises in this workout (feel free to substitute a medicine ball, free weight or just body weight).
