57 meals of chicken on the shelf and we aren't done harvesting yet. Granted somebody this is last year's chicken that we got out of the freezer and canned. 1 jar - bone in quart or boned pint - is generally 1 meal for this family. This chicken "homestead fast food" a lot of times finds it way into a stir fry of some sorts or another. Definitely not limited to stir fry though as we use it for a lot of stuff like pot pie, Alfredo, chicken quesadillas, various soups, chicken salad, chicken tacos, and so much more. This chicken "homestead fast food" Is so nice as we are trying to eat before getting out the door for a sporting event or some other kid event. No remembering to get it out of the freezer. No waiting for it to thaw.
