(+ it's odd how suddenly everyone comes back. It's as if asagiri is trying to make fans + old fans of the manga who dropped it comes back to read it once more to make sure it's profitable to kadokawa.

Late 2024 kadokawa experience a cyber attack leading to a massive loss on the income statement. When a company faces loss, they either:

1. Lay off their workers.

2. Divest their stocks.

3. Delay projects/cancelling them

4. Divest in projects.

(this is just to make sure that they won't face a huge loss for the next financial year)

Now going back to our original topic, bsd isn't kadokawas best selling animangas out there but it still remains profitable. However, due to fan favourites dying month by month or the monthly uploads, it is expected that kadokawa might divest from bsd thus asagiri will earn less.

About asagiri:

Asagiri has keep a watchful eye on the bsd community ever since he made called out that some ppl just read for fun but others read as if they were breathing oxygen (or wtv). When he notice that a lot of bsd readers dropped or stop reading, he has to create a whiplash. In addition, bsd is not the most anticipated animanga for the year 2026 even after the confirmed production of it's anime adaptation.

So to sum it up, in order for asagiri to make sure that kadokawa doesn't divest from bsd, he had to bring back characters into the series. This would cause a reaction within the fandom and make former readers coming back to read it. Thus increasing revenue therefore prevents kadokawa from potentially divesting from bsd and asagiris other projects.

(Also this is just based on the kadokawas financial review of the company and not bsd specifically so pls take it with a grain of salt)
