Me : all this makeup is going to be annoying to take off
My mom, gendering me correctly without hesitation : Yes but you’re handsome like that
My soul : !!!!! 💖💞❤️💛💘💖💝
I’ve been getting gendered correctly way more often lately. It’s mostly either people who I’d expect to be trans-friendly and people who want to get on my good side (salespeople, people asking for change on the street, etc.), but it’s still really nice. I think I’ve been getting a lot better at makeup and putting together outfits that work together.
In other news, I’m probably starting on hormones in the next few months - once I have a consistent source of income (I just started at two new jobs on top of the guitar lessons I’d been giving) I should be able to afford to pay for appointments and prescriptions. So things are looking up, even if they suck for now.

I GOT CALLED “HE” IN PUBLIC LET’S FUCKING GO!!!!
Eeeeee he didn't look directly at me but a Walmart employee just called me miss heheheb iv never been called miss before! I'm almost 30 and I got called miss. I love hrt so much omggg
I still get a lot of gender euphoria from when my parents get it right, because even though they've been doing so consistently for a while, I still don't quite expect it.
My dad was making fun of my advice for his next PCP appointment and loudly joked, "So, I'll just tell him that my son said it isn't a problem, and then he'll tell me it's East Himalayan Mosquito Flu and I'm going to die!"
And it was the nicest thing he's ever said.
