Some of us are seen as a secret third thing (scary ambiguous t-slur gender freak who is Failing At Gender by “not looking enough like a man OR a woman”) and treated accordingly

Hello! I am Kris, the owner of this blog. I am intersex transmasc non-binary and use they/them pronouns. I am part of @dhddmods system, though I tend to function on my own.

This blog is centered around the hardships of being androqueer (peritrans masc, intersex masc, butch, etc.) People can send in their experiences with androqueerphobia, or they can vent about general androqueer experiences (ie; the price of binders or packers, the negative symptoms of HRT or natural hormone production, etc.)

This is not just for men. Non-binary mascs and woman mascs can vent here too.

I created this account because this-is-transandrophobia is an endopluralphobe [link], and this-is-transmisandry is paramisic (has reblogged content conflating pedophile/zoophile with predator, has them on their DNI on their personal account, has reblogged content promoting authoritarian censorship, etc), and I wanted a safe space for androqueer endos and paraphiles to speak, so they won't have to resort to radqueer blogs for their experiences to be heard.

The tagging system will go as follows:

- Androqueerphobia: Oppression towards queer masculinity/masculine-perceived queers; intersex mascs, transmascs, butches, etc. Aka, oppression of genderqueer or sexqueer mascs. - Transandrophobia: Oppression towards transmascs or people perceived as transmasc. - Interandrophobia: Oppression towards intersex mascs or people perceived as intersex mascs. - Butchphobia: Oppression towards butches. - GNCphobia: Oppression towards gender non-conformity. - Androqueer vent: A vent that isn't oppression-specific (ie; venting about dysphoria.)

finally passing after yearning for it my entire life is so fucking strange to adjust to. because i still have it intrinsically drilled into my brain i’ll never look like a boy but I DO now. and my coworkers are getting confused when i make comments insinuating otherwise until they too realize i am trans. this is going to take some getting used to.

hope this isn't weird to say but i hope there's more media out there someday where it's like. okay the best way I can say it is tboy Laura Palmer.

being raised as a girl, whether you are one or not, comes with a lot of potential trauma just by the nature of society and what it puts girls and women through.

and a lot of people don't realize that just because you're a trans guy it doesn't vanish. it's still an issue. you still faced it, and you still do. and there's a weird sort of expectation that it retroactively vanishes, or that it sort of never happens to trans guys. not maliciously, but people sort of forget that gendered violence and trauma happens whether you're a cis girl or not.

it's an intersection i don't see spoken about a lot, of that trauma and abuse a lot of girls face mixed with not being a girl at all. How fetishization of trans people can compound it and make it worse. how you're not really safe even if you pass, because if the wrong people find out you're worse off than before.

and it's just... I'd love to see a Laura Palmer type of character who's a trans guy. openly or in secret. I see myself in characters like her a lot, and I think it'd be sort of cathartic to see and have put into the world.

there's a lot to say for these gendered experiences as a trans person no matter what your gender ofc, this is just me going "huh".

Day 13: Modality - what’s your relationship to gender modality – trans, cis, iso, amodal, etc?

That is a question with an answer that varies from alter to alter; on a collective level, though, we identify as transmasculine, typically trans guy but it varies, and honestly being seen as trans- is more important than being gendered correctly? Like, we're more akin to a trans guy within the spectrum of transmasculinity, but if someone saw us as butch, or nonbinary, or transfem, or whatever, we'd take that any day of the week over being seen as cishet. Being seen as some sort of trans-, or really queer in general, is our primary goal.

Oookayyyy so, in terms of my identity, I'm largely amodal; it doesn't really matter to me how I'm sunsine, for example, I just am, ykwim? But as for my presentation, I'm very much trans-, specifically a transmasc boy, for the reasons mentioned in the collective section of this post. Namely, I'm a cringey transmasc boy: if I don't look right out of the post-quarantine wave of alt kids, I'm doing it wrong. Gimme all the cringey shit! I may be cringe but you're (general you) mean and that's worse!!
