Welcome to the herd!
It's quite simple really. It's an ask blog that may or may not follow a storyline. We'll just see where the asks take us!
For now though, here are some cans and can'ts:
Can:
Temporarily change fluffy Quartz's appearance since she herself is a (y/n) character.
Interact with the characters [you know, give headpats or food obviously]
Can't:
Ask or do anything inappropriate (obviously, here Lil Quartz is a minor here (12-16 years of age)
Be crude to other askers (sure you can react to some choices, but don't go cussing them out)
And that's about it. Short, but these were just things to be acknowledged.
And about fluffy's appearance changes;
every change will last approximately 4 questions/interactions or a set number of panels [you have [something] for 3 panels.]
Can change:
Mane color and style
Horn shape and size
Tail appearance and color
Body color and pattern
Eye color
Can't change:
Number of limbs [she will only have four arms and two legs]
Complex colors and patterns (you know, the sparkledog and mary-sue kinds. My wrists are sensitive.)
Eye bleed colors (they genuinely irritate my eyes)
Anything Inappropriate
Note: this follows along with the Raised In Corruption plot, so character appearances and events may change.
A while back I did these concepts for corrupt gems that could still currently dwell on Earth. I'm actually really proud of these! My personal favourites include the Sandwhale, Crumbling tortoise, and a Terryfying example of aggressive mimicry. These designs were mainly based on memories from childhood fandoms, as well as different biological phenomena.
Although... if Steven and the Crystal Gems had already gathered all the corrupt gems, why would these ones still roam the world? Well, maybe here's what happened:
Long before the Earth was officially colonized, mapping expeditions were sent to look for suitable colonies, and send the data they gathered to Homeworld. One of these expedition fleets landed on Earth and gathered the required research data. They then transmitted the numbers to Homeworld. However, some freak-accident left them stranded to random corners pf the Earth, and with their vessels and communication equipment destroyed, they couldn't ask for help. Not that Homeworld would answer, anyway. They had the data. That's all that mattered. They wouldn't have bothered to resque them, as they were seen as expendable tools. A long time passed, and they were forgotten. And then the Earth was colonized, but things had changed. The crewmembers that were found were not treated kindly. Those who could, escaped, and became very angry. Then the rebellion happened. Both sides saw them as enemies, and virtually all of them went into hiding. And then, the Diamonds put an end to all this nonsense. The gems were corrupted. And almost all the hidden gems were among them. They went far beyond the younger corrupt gems of the rebellion, who were simply frustrated. These ones were furious and held a serious grudge. Each one on its own vowed to attack anything that even remotely resembles a gem. That includes people. Every one of them hid away, forgotten. Blended into their surroundings, waiting to punish anyone who found them. And then, one day, Steven found out about all this. And he wants to help them. He wants to heal them. He wants them to see the good things. And with the help of some new allies, he just might succeed.
Okay. I kind of want to expand on this idea. Maybe I could write some small stories that wind into the bigger picture. I do have a lot of stories in the works, though...
Could you folks give me some thoughts? If you have anything to say about this, or any of the things I put on the blog, feel free to ask. The inbox is always open.
Awww is this nice
We finally got a happy ending for all the corrupted gems
Look how happy they all look
Now that I got your attention. AHEM.
I direct you all to the THOUSANDS OF QUARTZ GEMS that was wrongfully bubbled back at the zoo I HOPE THEY ALL GET A HAPPY ENDING AS WELLLLL;;;;;
Corrupt Steven theory
Steven Universe Future (one hour special) spoilers
-
Now that I’ve seen the new episodes for Steven Universe Future, i do agree with the theory that the big corrupted monster in the opening song could be Steven. We Steven struggle hearing more about what his mom did, what Pink did, so much that he unlocks a new power. A destructive power that;s so bad that when Pink used it (not on purpose) she damaged Pink Pearl horribly. We also see how powerful it is in the movie when gem Steven yells “Shes gone!” it literally breaks the floor. Steven unlocked this when fighting with Jasper, and how he unlocked it was with frustration. Like with all of his powers it’s linked to his emotions.
In the episode “Volley Ball” we see Steven get so frustrated at what his mom did that the more the Pearls talked about it the more pressure was built on him to fix everything that he explodes! It wasn’t a tantrum like how Pink would do, but a borderline meltdown. If he hadn’t used the power he’d probably go on about the stress he’s been feeling, but sadly he did use the power and cracked the entire room. The poor guy is taking responsibility for her(Pinks) actions.
What I believe will happen is that Steven gets so upset, so frustrated that he corrupts himself. He isn’t his mom but knowing everything she did and feelings the pressure to fix what she did will consume him. As well as the idea that he has the powers Pink did and can easily do the same kind of damage Pink did.
We also see Steven being kinda toxic in the first few episodes, he no longer takes time to help the gems personally but goes head first in fixing the problems without the care. Steven tramples all over Amethysts idea and her work without trying to understand.
I understand what Steven is feeling though. There is no longer just one gem every now and then but rather a few thousands of gems all at once that needs help. Its over whelming and Steven is treating it as “in and out” kind of deal, like customers in a way. He most likely doesn't have the kind of energy to work with each one individually like he did in the show.
What Jasper says during the fight is true in a way. Steven is the one who needs help the most. We see how the pressure is effecting him, the stress of being better than his mom and to fixing everything. Steven is going to crumble over the pressure. Like Yellow diamond said in the movie, “A diamond could crack under so much pressure.”
Steven isn't a bad guy, he has a good heart and very good intentions but he’s doing everything wrong. He needs to step back and breath, and relax. He has friends here to help like in the episode “Volleyball”. Steven wasn't the one who needed to fix things, he cant fix the effects his mom did to Pink Pearl. No one can, even our Pearl can’t. Only time can heal that kind of damage. Time and support of course.
Steven will either have a full break down, with powers and all, that causes him to crack/corrupt or Steven will keep all of this stress in until he starts to corrupt.

This is just what I think will happen, if you think differently then that’s fine
Inktober Day: 16 Wild!!
Su Theory
White diamond knew the gems would get corrupted but allowed blue and yellow to think they’d be obliterated.
Anyone remember that corrupt pufferfish monster from season one of SU?
