au where instead of her old head getting ejected GLaDOS and wheatley just switch bodies and instead of having a potato stuck to chells portal gun she has to carry GLaDOS’ bitchass around /all/ the test chambers
chell can pick up or put down GLaDOS during tests (game physics don’t allow glados to be dropped over the edge) and if she drops GLaDOS a little to hard or throws her or bounces her on the gel or something you get a lil bonus dialogue
instead of attaching the “new“ corrupted cores (space, fact, and rick) you attach the old cores (specifically morality and curiosity) plus core!GLaDOS to corrupt wheatley
you would get the cores the same way as in the og universe - since the cores are technically fireproof (they can withstand like 4000 degrees kelvin or something insane like that) they just got deactivated and put in the corrupt cores box that the original au cores were in. they’re a little banged up, kinda scorched, but they still work. you receive the cores and attach them to wheatley the same way you would have in the og universe, just that space, rick, and fact are replaced with curiosity, morality, and core!GLaDOS (in that order).
wheatley still booby traps the stalemate button, but instead of chell shooting a portal onto the moon core!GLaDOS tricks wheatley into authorizing the core transfer as chell passes out.
this would still have the og lore of GLaDOS being caroline - she remembers she’s caroline bc the memories triggered by the tapes uncover code that reveals GLaDOS as caroline. these lines of code would have been previously blocked by the mainframe, but since GLaDOS is in a core she would have access to them. she wouldn’t have accessed them when she first became a core bc 1 she didn’t know they existed and 2 she had bigger things to worry about
glados is still scared shitless of birds bc that part of wheatleys code just came programmed in with the core (along w pain sensors and apparent lactose intolerance, among other things)
not sure what would happen to wheatley as punishment by GLaDOS - android hell, maybe? testing with atlas and/or pbody? put into a potato battery? im open to suggestions
