I can’t remember if we ever told you, but after many discussions and uncertainties, my mom is officially moving into the cottage that we’ve been working on since September of last year! We revealed it to her tonight (she hasn’t seen any progress in months) and I think we’re all feeling a little emotional right now 😭. After she lost her job earlier this year due to covid-related layoffs, she needed a fresh start, and my husband made it happen for her. He poured his blood, sweat, and tears into this house over the last year, stretching his creativity to create what is now our favorite project to date. I’m thrilled my mom is downsizing and moving into this little cottage, partly because we love it so much and are glad it’s staying in the family so we can visit anytime we want 😂, but mostly because I know what this fresh start means for her, and that it came together because of PJ. I’m feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude, and will be going to bed tonight with the most hardworking man I know right next to me.
