I’m not reblogging this because it inspired my thoughts and my thoughts aren’t totally relevant to the question at hand BUT -
So one of my big gripes with the Raven cycle as a whole is that his death…. Meant nothing. To me it had the same impact as Rhysand’s two minute death in whichever ACOTAR book that was. There was all this hype and high stakes but in the end… Noah died. Again. He was never alive with them and was never really there. In that way, it also feels like Quentin’s sacrifice. “Did I do something brave or did I finally find a way to kill myself” kinda vibes so that Noah could finally move on. He was more when he was alive. He was losing himself.
So yeah, his friend group IS more important and present and haunting and sneaking up on us because that was more the story.
I just felt his whole two minute death to mean even less the first time than it did the original bee time.
The last Banana Fish episode aired 5 years ago, aka on 12.20.2018 which means Ash Lynx died on that date :(
That actually tracks....
Don't have time lately to draw.
Thank you @Baxtli for accepting my commission to draw these two coolest kids in town 😊🙏
