Help Support Count To Four Record their New Album!
Normally, I view any kind of crowd funding as the internet’s version of begging, but when Count To Four starts the video with the actual reality of what it’s like to be in a band that is trying to make it their full time gig, well, it’s a sad reality that the countless things that can go wrong on tour will go wrong on tour. These guys move forward to tell you why they’re actually doing this band and for the most part it’s pretty selfless. Obviously, dudes in a band enjoy playing, having three square meals a day, maybe even making a little bit of cheddar to bring home so they can actually have lives off the road and really whats wrong with that?! These guys are actually only asking for a third of what it will cost to bring everything to the table and their Indiegogo.com page is actually REALLY WELL PUT TOGETHER! They’re being super transparent with where the funds will go and what they’ll do with them and their tiered packages are pretty amazing! They’re even giving someone a chance to record something ON THE ALBUM if your a well funded philanthropist of the scene that has $1K just sitting in your bank account.
All in all, this is the reality of the music industry, currently in America. Long gone are the days where a major label comes to your show, scoops you up and takes care of you. More accurately, they takes advantage of the artist, change everything about them, molding the band into something that will sell tomorrow and won’t ever be recognized as an part of music history. This is where you can fund a great band with great songs record an album and know that it was done completely independent of some record executive who could care less if this band actually makes it. These guys are asking you to be the silent members of their band, so if you only have five bucks, it’s still five more that they’d have to make their new album happen! They currently have $7,215 and thats just $2,875 short of their initial goal. They have 21 more days to make this happen so, watch the video, give what you can and get stoked on Count To Four! If you want to find out more about their sound give this video we posted about about a month ago a watch or listen to their bandcamp player below!
