Covid isn't over! We're now going into an endemic! It will continue to evolve and make new variants, each more deadly than the last. I know people will say, "It will only kill the already disabled and elderly." Please understand, COVID is still a thing and people are still getting sick, hospitalized and even dying from it. The idea that the COVID epidemic was over was made up by people who wanted to get people back to work, which meant they had to get kids back in school. With the vaccinations, the occurances of being infected by the original COVID virus are far below the standard for an "epidemic" but that is because the COVID virus has mutated.

The public was also noticing how clean the air and water were during quarantine, and those who put impurities into the air and water didn't want the public to get any big ideas about making them stop doing that.

Those within the American health care and insurance system should already realize that no one cares if you live or die. They only care if you make and spend money, or if you are a money drain on the system. If you are a drain it is best for the system that you die quickly before too much money is lost.

So do not depend on media or politicians to tell you when your health is in danger. You are on your own. The World Health Organization is usually reliable. But, the WHO depends upon countries to send them accurate reports, so again, they may not be completely reliable, through no fault of their own.

"The variant was identified in China in February 2023 and was first detected in the United States in April. It is a descendant of the Omicron variant XBB.1.9.2 and has one notable mutation that helps it to evade antibodies developed by the immune system in response to earlier variants and vaccines. That advantage may be why EG.5 has become the dominant strain worldwide, and it could be one reason Covid cases have been rising again.

That mutation “may mean that more people are susceptible because the virus can escape a little bit more of that immunity,” Dr. Pekosz said."

"Data released this week on X (formerly Twitter) by scientists in China showed that BA.2.86 is so different from previous versions of the virus that it easily escapes antibodies produced in response to earlier infections — even more than EG.5 does. The data (which have not yet been published or peer-reviewed) suggest that the updated vaccine will be less effective against it, too."

If you don’t want to get the COVID vaccines or wear masks, go ahead, make that decision, that’s your right.

And I have the right to think you’re a selfish person who doesn’t care about helping other people more vulnerable than you, and I also have the right to tell you to stay away from my family because you might be carrying a deadly disease that can make us seriously sick, disable us (more than we are) or kill us.

You don’t get to impose your (possibly) diseased self onto everyone and expect to be welcomed with open arms.

That’s not people taking away your freedom, you did that to other people when you chose not to wear a mask or get vaccinated, so now your frail 87 year old grandpa is in the hospital on a ventilator, your spry 21 year old aunt had to quit her job as an aerobics instructor because she can’t do the exercises without passing out and has trouble remembering how to do simple tasks like getting dressed in the morning, and a family’s sole caregiver is being buried, leaving two disabled kids destitute and in the hands of the state.

It’s not your freedom that’s being taken away.
