so let's dance, take a chance details coyote and phoenix's first meeting and their foray into a friends with benefits relationship during a six month deployment (because that little flirty 'hey, coyote' 'hey' was Packed with history).

"You're alright," Coyote said again, this time softer. He still had his hands on her wrists, but when Phoenix raised her eyebrows, he blushed and immediately let go. He didn't move back, though; Phoenix was surprised to realize how much she wanted him to stay right where he was. How much she wanted him to move a little closer.
She cocked her head, smiling slightly. "Hey, Coyote."
"Hey," Coyote said. The flush in his cheeks deepened, but his answering smile was as bright as ever when she closed the distance between them. His hand was warm on the small of her back, and she slid her palm along his cheek, leaned up on her tiptoes and kissed him.
