While I love love love that the og team is getting focused I’m also a little worried. Like all the talk of how it’s always them, they’re family, the founders.... they won’t do a big sacrifice together and die, will they?
On the other hand, it would be amazing if it was like a JLU thing where they all form a chain and pull Wally out of the speed force. I’d love that too. Much better than dying.
So I have a crazy idea. In 15x05 Lilith makes the comment that Chuck has a pervy obsession with Dean specifically, and we also know that Chuck is canonically bi. And with Cas being written out of Chuck’s stories entirely, it just seems like we could possibly maybe get some kind of triangle between them. Chuck not liking Cas because he knows that not only Cas could help destroy him but because Cas holds a part of Dean’s heart as well and that’s something that maybe Chuck wants? Crazy I know lol
I feel like there was more to that Lilith comment about Chuck having a pervy obsession with Dean. Since Chuck is bi, I’m honestly thinking that Chuck has a crush on Dean. There’s something poetic about God falling in love with one of his creations but for his creation to fall in love in love with one of his angels instead. This is just me clowning though lol I’m just thinking big picture IF destiel really is endgame.
I got both of these asks the other day and it made me laugh because during our post episode chat over on whatsapp, I was brainstorming with @margarittet and @postmodernmulticoloredcloak about why Chuck had the change of heart over Cas, and after a few suggestions I was like “OH! HE’S CRUSHING ON DEAN”.
Then we were joking about that along with Lilith’s “pervy obsession”comment how it all suddenly made sense. Basically we came to the same cracky conclusion that these two anons did.
Chuck last brought Cas back in Season 7 from the lake. The next time Cas “dies” is in season 12 and Chuck refuses to bring him back. He also gave him the cold shoulder in Season 11 to the extent that we were all really mad about it at the time because it made NO sense for Chuck to ignore the one angel who was always previously his favourite - even Metatron called Cas Chuck’s favourite and so did Amara (though Amara used past tense).
So Cas fell out of favour with Chuck at some point between season 7 and season 11, which is an ironically perfect fit because season 8 was right around when the Destiel underlying romantic plot started ramping up and Cas got closer to Dean.
Ergo - CHUCK IS JEALOUS.
I actually think there is a lot of canon evidence to conclude that Chuck has some sort of strange creator/createe crush on Dean. Dean has always been the Buffy of the SPN universe after all (it was an ongoing joke in Buffy fandom that everyone fell in love with her). Why is Dean so desirable? Because God made him that way.
In season 11, Chuck basically mirrored Dean in every way. He wore his robe, watched his porn, ate his bacon, and generally infringed on Dean’s space as a “mini Dean” to the point that it drove Dean mad. (I remember distinctly laughing at these obvious mirrors which went so nicely with the one glaringly obvious unspoken mirror that Chuck was canonically bisexual).
Amara then also had her whole creepy obsession with Dean which turned out to be because she could sense his connection to Chuck. All she really wanted was her brother (and the less we talk about the creepy incest implications there the better). So the Dean/Chuck parallels endured right until the end of the season.
In Season 14, the story lines so clearly favoured Dean, even at the end the whole tragic finale was framed as the father murdering the son and Chuck’s attention was all on Dean from the moment he returned. Now we have this reveal of Lilith’s which singles Dean out as the object of Chuck’s “pervy obsession” it backs up all the previous foundation work that the writers have been laying down.
Add that to giving Cas the cold shoulder and well, we might just be on to something here.
We also have this to support the theory :P
Maybe the anomaly will get tired of Bellarke pining over each other and will magic them away to some remote but beautiful land until they kiss.
Because I like coming up with vaguely plausible yet slightly cracky speculation, I'm not sure who I'd like to be The Beast Forever more: Dorothy or Lucas. Either would be awesome (also unlikely, but still, magic).
headcanon: that's Barry, Dad's annoying friend from work
I just had a thought about the funeral thing (911 speculation below the cut)
Bobby was hit by whatever virus it is and so are the others, but because he has a heart condition his body goes into severe shock
His body shuts down into a state that's super close to death. Like no brain activity and and the pulse is undetectable. Like stasis for hibernation, basically
People thought he was dead because of the aforementioned stasis but because of the contagion they did not want to risk an autopsy in case it spreads even more
They put him in a coffin and get ready to bury him asap
He's six feet under when he comes to but he's buried in a coffin and he wakes up then
Meanwhile Hen and Chim and Ravi (?) were comatose (with evident pulse and brain activity) and they wake up shortly before Bobby does and they're fine
They hold the funeral
Buck is grieving when a seed of doubt comes into his head
He goes grave digging (with Athena's help)
Bobby is unconscious but breathing and alive in his casket
Tadaaah
Crack prediction for tonight’s episode: Eileen is back because Rowena sent her back to Sam from hell (which is where Chuck sent her when she died because Chuck is an epic douche).
