Crafting update: I have moved from fish mode without creating any more fish and am instead like...maybe halfway done with a giant velvet worm? Maybe a third of the way? All the fabric is cut except the fabric for the antennae, the darts are sewn on the back, and the next step is sewing the leg halves on the belly and then using them as a guide to sew the other leg halves onto the back. That's definitely a tomorrow project though

Crafting Update Time

Remembering to post here again and I've been working on various projects. As well as trying to prep for tour de fleece which starts July 5th. Just need clear this bobbin of singles. Plus address a button band for the hexi cardigan finally. Still need buttons but I have ideas on that....

Also got started on a diamond painting which I got from Walmart on a whim. It's pretty but do wish they would have storage for the drills come with it. Finished the gift socks finally and shipped those off which was great. Took away too long but less time than the previous pair so improvement I guess.

There's also tatting stuff, crocheting mushrooms on a whim and some Linux mint stuff on the side because windows has been getting in my last nerve.

Nothing like sitting down to knit the colorwork bit of this hat and then realizing 2.5 rows in you added the wrong color entirely and having to tink back the whole way to the start of the colorwork.

At least I caught it in time but tinking back 2.5 rows x 156 stitches = OOOOOF.

But now I have 1/3 of the hat done -properly- and can maybe even finish the rest of the colorwork tomorrow. It's https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ridgeline-5 in Green Bay Packers colours as a present for my dad ^_^ I very rec this pattern, second time I've knit this hat and it turns out great! Tincanknits in general has great patterns, my next hat is adapting their Anthology hat pattern with a Legend of Zelda motif!

So I just made a Wonderfully Impulsive Decision and bought ten cleaned and prepped nest egg gourds because I saw a Thing on pinterest about turning eggs into dragon eggs? And I was like “That’s cool but eff blowing the yolks out of eggs and have to deal with that fragile end result. I’mma go find someone that sells gourds, which give me variety AND lack of mess.”

I forgot to take pictures but all the patchwork fins are cut out and sewn for the whale shark! I still need to baste them in place and cut out fabric for the belly (and the mouth lining if I go for an open whale shark mouth) but I’m one step closer!

Crafting update: all fabric cut out for the cuttlefish (camo print, because when else will I use it?) and my next baby quilt pattern is picked out!

Unrelated, are there any mushrooms with a pattern on their cap like the one on the fabric to the right? I have a giant mushroom plushie pattern and I’m thinking of making another one

My next project is a baby puff quilt, and I have 26/98 squares cut out for it! No photos yet, it's just a stack of squares lol
