So, I ordered the Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis DVDs to tone up some areas. I wasn’t really interested in losing more than five to ten pounds. Anyway, the diet it involves starts with a week called Nutrient Boost, where you subsist on weird vegetable and fruit purees. Some are okay, especially if you take liberties with seasonings, but it would be a really bad idea to try to subsist on that. So, if you had a professional chef and they could do all the juicing for you, it would make sense, but if you have a life and have to go places and do things, you can’t be expected to juice and puree the amount of calories worth of that stuff needed to sustain the required 1200 calories a day to live. So, I’m eating her stuff along with other sensible foods. The exercises are working and I’m tightening up, losing a little weight. Then again, weight was never the issue. I just want my tummy, ass and thighs to look better. The exercises are okay. The leg muscle exhaustion routine is a little difficult, but easier if I cushion my knees with a pillow. I also don't agree with Anderson’s claims that women should never lift more than three pounds (what planet do you live on?) or that running and biking necessarily make you look unattractively bulky. I would still continue to do the other stuff I love. I’m willing to do whatever exercises she suggests, but I’m not a fan of the extremism. That can’t possibly be healthy.
