I love this quote from tomorrow’s podcast guest, Anne Marie Bennett @annemariebennett520. It sounds crazy, but it’s really, really easy to forget that we do the things we love because we love them and they bring us joy. Human beings are really good at turning things we love into work. We fall into the trap of thinking that we *must* produce something to prove that we’re worthy of the space we take up on this planet, because our culture tells us that productivity is the measure of all value. That’s crazy on multiple levels. We’re valuable because we’re here, not the other way around—and a lot of the time, the things that we enjoy doing are the ones that add the most to others’ lives anyway. If you’ve been pressuring yourself to churn out “good work” at the expense of your enjoyment of the process, I cordially invite you to give yourself a break today and invite fun to visit instead, and keep doing it whenever you start to feel the pressure building up again. (Or just never stop in the first place!) I’d love to hear how that goes for you in the comments—and don’t forget to tune in tomorrow for more! posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CGSYsUPAOXL/
