Soooooooo, this happened last night!! I was sidling up to the hotel bar to get drinks, when I saw the Delightful and Hilarious Sandra Valls, the MC for Creating Change 2023 and a fantastic standup comic, who immediately asked if she knew me! And, while this question is one I get asked a lot in queer spaces like this, I knew she knew me from an entirely different part of my life!! Sandra was a regular performer when I was the showroom manager at The Hollywood Improv, before I transitioned!!! So of course I said a very empathetic YES to the moment!
