I understand you, for me it's weird to have more than 1 or 2 likes, and much more to have reblogs, it's so sad when you put so much effort on something and nobody cares about it, just to be there, like if that thing didn't exist...

Yeah, when you put a lot of effort into something you create it’s natural to want recognition for your hard work. I myself sail between two extremes all the time: on one hand I’m like, I don’t give a damn about what anyone thinks, I will create what I want, and then at the other end of the spectrum I’m sobbing into the void, begging for people to notice and validate my hard work. It’s very conflicting.

I guess the only thing we can do is either let the lack of acknowledgment get to us and stop creating, or continue creating and getting better at what we love doing. While I sometimes feel like giving up, I love drawing and writing too much to quit, so I know I’d continue creating even if no one ever noticed my work. I try to keep in mind that first and foremost, I create for myself, even though it’s hard to face the feeling of failure upon posting something that no one seems to like. When that happens, I try to move on and experiment with something new, and learn from each piece I create. We can only get better at what we practice!

Stay positive, anon! You keep doing what you’re doing and I’m sure your love and dedication will be acknowledged one day. <3

When you get hit by inspiration but can't complete it

Kieran

So those of you who know me on discord may know of my Sanders Side OC that I sometimes roleplay, Kieran aka Angst. For the rest of you, I thought I would give a little run down on what Kier is all about since I’ve been thinking of making him a roleplay blog and want to see if anyone would actually be interested in that first.

So let's get started, first off, this is Kieran

He likes to try to be scary and intimating but he’s still a part of Thomas so ultimately, he’s still a bit of a dork 

As Angst Kieran’s role is to force Thomas and the other sides to think about and address the things that they maybe don't want to, so they can get passed them. 

Kieran formed around the same time as Virgil so they're kind of considered to be like twins. They used to be really close but since Virgil became friends with the main sides they grew apart. Kieran resents the other three because of their relationship with Virgil and feels replaced. He dislikes Patton most of all not just because of their close dynamic but also because he feels Patton undermines his purpose by distracting everyone to keep them happy when Kieran is trying to do his job.

Similar to how Virgil’s voice changes, becoming deeper with a heavy echo when he’s overwhelmed, Kieran’s eyes change, turning black and, if things get really bad, eventually starting to drip:

If I do make the blog I’ll also have alternate versions for people who don’t want the whole twin aspect that has him interlinked to other characters, and anything else such as human or fusion versions on request. 

So that’s all the important details I can think of, now time for random tidbits I don’t know how else to include. Like Roman and Patton, Kieran is part of the right brain and as such is right-handed (even if Thomas does seem to forget that he had Roman write with his right hand in the Christmas ep and said that since he seems to use his left for everything else) Kier likes knives 

Like Roman with his sword, Kieran has probably kissed one of his knives at least once. 

Which is the perfect note to transition into my final little bit... Some of us over on discord kind of ship him with Roman that hasn't been played at all. #CreativeAngst

I'm having creative angst today. I desperately feel the need to make something but have no idea what and look at everything I *need* to do and every bit of supply I have and just *can't*.

meh I’m in a creative rut again where it feels as if I have the tools and skills to make anything and the inspiration and drive to do absolutely nothing but maybe it’s good to just take it easy over the Holidays and then make crazy new year’s resolutions instead. hmeh.
