Was going through notes on my phone and found this gem from when I was disassociating because they didn't give me enough pain meds after my outpatient hysterectomy. For context adhesives rip off my skin, I've tried all the tricks like using oil, pulling slowly, soaking the bandage. It just always rips off a layer of skin.
Bandaid adhesive - ba
Lovestruck skin - ls
Ba -well hello there gorgeous. Hope you don't mind a tight squeeze 😉.
Ls- 😊
Ba -I'm just here to help keep that small break in you from getting germs in
Ls -you know protecting the body is my job
Ba -even the strongest warrior can use help sometimes
Ls enjoying the squeeze - Wait, what happens when your job is done
Ba -😅 I'd rather hoped to keep that from you. We'll be separated soon.
Ls- no they can't make me let you go
Ba- it's no good to cry about it, that's just the way things are. After all your job is to protect the body and if I stayed too long it would cause problems
Ls- forget what i was made for! As soon as you touched me i knew what love was. I'd rather die than let you go
Ba- oh darling me too
Both melt together
you know. i must say that this is true for me as well
yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.
I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.
It was always a thermometer, not a thermostat, and I’m begging people to understand that.
will you guys cancel me if i say that queer tragedy has a place in the creative arts and shouldn’t immediately be dismissed as bury your gays
adding @glorious-spoon 's astute tags:
#bury your gays and women in refrigerators and the black guy dies first are all about treating marginalized people like props#to further the story of the (white straight male) protagonist#that's not the same thing as a tragedy! some stories are tragedies! whose story has weight and meaning - that's the question
this has gotta be the most perfectly shot and paced house tour I've ever seen
“Tell me you don’t wanna shoot a porn in here. I can feel my mustache growin’ just being in this room”
im absolutely speechless what is this HOUSE
will never not be mad about gig economy apps making a 4 star rating mean “unacceptable quality”
Doordash will suspend you below 4.2 stars.
Uber drivers can be suspended at 4.6 stars.
Lyft drivers risk suspension under 4.8 stars.
Even for apps where they don’t have a publicly stated minimum, their algorithms will bury you.
4 stars does not mean 4 stars. It means 1.4 stars.
If you give a person a 4 star rating, to these companies, you are not saying “I was mostly satisfied with the service, but there’s always room for improvement”—which is what 4 stars should mean—you are voting for them to be fired.
Genuinely, do not ever give people 4 star ratings on gig service apps for any reason that is not a safety issue where their continuation on the app could seriously hurt people.
If someone gives you “just OK” service where you don’t want to give them 5 stars, but you don’t actively hate their existence and hope they die, just don’t rate them.

Oh come on lady, you can't deny a man his gaycation
You must surrender yourself mind, body and soul to the gaycation or be destroyed

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
how could you leave out the best part—the aquarium bit
"become a fish" (gay)
men will jump through an entire circus' worth of hoops rather than admitting they're bi
The level of mental hoops that guy had to jump through to say to his wife, "No, honey! Of course I wouldn't be cheating on you! Sex during gaycations doesn't count!"
Holy fucking shit! It gets trippier!
I mean, I feel horrible for the OP and her SIL...but "surrender to the gaycation" made me laugh way more than I should have.
this is an insane story
“Some men never return”
Helpppppp 😭
Um…here’s the reddit link? I’m speechless.
Don't worry honey, all the other men on gaycation aren't real people and they stop existing after. Hey, where's all the homophoboa coming from suddenly?
That's the beauty of the gaycation!
It get wilder. I only found out about this b/c of a youtube video reading the Gaycation post but, this isn't even the first one.
7 years ago someone posted this-
And 5 years a different user posted this-
What is happening with these people??? What weird ass cult did they find??
I read the shithead guy’s rambling in Nagito Komaeda’s voice
"some men never return because they're "totally feminized" into the state of permanent "pseudo-gayness"" is my favourite line out of the entire post
This is one of my favorite not Tumblr Tumblr stories lol
please don't have sex in disabled bathrooms if you're abled. we need somewhere to have sex too
lets all click on the source of the gif
What the duck?
[Description: the video is captioned "Find the duck game", and we see several blindfolded women in hijabs groping around an enclosed ring while spectators look on, cheering and laughing . After a few seconds the camera pans so that you can see the duck, who is waddling around, casually yet resolutely resisting capture. Periodically the women collide with each other. They do not find the duck. End ID]
#it is a beautiful day in indonesia and you are a terrible duck

I feel like this would be a great band name, ska, grunge, for sure. if its the right type of punk or metal
My mom likes to tell me about how when I was a little kid riding public transport with her I'd always smile and giggle and chat with weird old ladies who smelled like cat pee and homeless folks and strangers dressed in bizarre outfits but any time a tidy and respectable businessman in a suit and tie waved at me I'd immediately clam up, and she takes a great deal of pride in my supposed inherentability to clock personalities but the truth is I do vaguely remember those bus rides, and it was never about the clothes or the hair or the smell, but more because everyone "strange" asked interesting questions and listened to what I had to say and seemed to think about what I said while the neat and tidy and rigid folks only ever acted like they were going through the motions, which was boring as hell and also pretty annoying
Well-to-do finance manager with tidy shoes: "Why hello, sweetheart. Can you say 'hi'? Aren't you cute. Are you on a trip with your mom?"
4 year old me: why must we do this
Fantastic old woman in the leopard print coat: "Why yes, my tooth IS real silver! Nobody ever asks me that. Do you like cats?"
4 year old me, suddenly paying attention: Finally, A Person Of Intellect
Love that this alien arm is clearly just green bubblewrap. 70s prosthetics I love you
Classic SF once again betrayed by a clear, static-free signal and a flat digital screen
This is how I remember classic Who and Star Trek, folks, with signal ghosts and scanning lines (but usually with more static/snow)
Sharing this on my main because it appears from the notes that it's useful for some modern viewers.
You KNOW classic SF used the limited displays of CRT television and the static of transmitted signals the way theaters use stage makeup and lighting to make inexpensive props look great fine— take advantage of the medium! But it's hard to imagine how it looked if you've only seen Blu-ray HD restorations.
I swear to you, despite classic Who using bubble wrap for years as one of its go-to materials that reflected light in interesting ways, we never realized that's what it was.
