In her heart's hidden harbor, she harbored stars, each one a whisper of hope, casting light through shadows, guiding her dreams to sail free.
In the garden of your heart, let hope bloom, for with each inspired step, happiness will find its way and light your path anew.
In each moment, I find hope; with mindful steps, I nurture it, and through unwavering determination, I turn dreams into reality.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Was the first sound I heard after I gained my consciousness. I opened my eyes, my body felt numb. The room was white- snow white except for the curtains, couch and blanket which were blue. It was pouring outside as if the clouds were crying in grief. There was a knock at the door and my dad stepped in “how are you feeling?”, he asked. “The competition?”, I inquired. The look on his face explained everything my dreams were shattered.
Ever since I was a kid I always dreamed to be a model & worked my fingers to the bone. I ate healthy and worked out intensively and increased my knowledge in the field.
One day I received a flyer in the newspaper announcing a modelling competition. I sent in my photographs and got selected. On the day of the competition the ramp was immaculate, the spotlights were dimmed right enough. My confidence beamed.
A few minutes before the competition I went to my car for a last minute touch-up. When I was in the middle of the road I heard a car honking, I turned my head. The next thing I knew was that I was lying on the road with a soaring pain in my knee and everything went black.
When I woke up the doctors said I wouldn’t be able to walk for six months and would have to use a wheelchair. That was my story from heels to wheels. I tried to put myself together, hoped for the best and drifted off to sleep as the CPR machine went, Beep. Beep. Beep.
