I wish for once I could live for today. Not for tomorrow, where a better future awaits, Not 'cause I'm free of the past, But to live, just for today. To exist, only for this day. Happy and content, for this day, I'm alive. Not dreaming or waiting, not regretting or sighing, But smiling, even unto my eyes. --ENYAH -@purplepeiskos
Absence
I made peace with your absence
Quite a while ago,
So why do you show up in my dreams?
As it seems, to say hello.
We said goodbye and stuck by it,
Thought you would never show.
So why is it so damn hard to
Not hang out with your ghost?
-M
The walls all gray, the ceiling too.
Sky outside and my feelings now too.
I asked you how you felt, you answered noth but gray.
I asked on why but you simply did not say.
You didnt need to say, the world is afterall oh so gray.
The sun, the lies, the cries.
Your tears may be see through but theyll be gray soon enough.
Colour is foreboding, a message of noth.
May you live a life that sees but colour, as gray doesnt suit your face.
Your eyes or your smile.
Let there be a day when i ask you again, and you'll answer differently.
Something without gray, with only colours, yellow and red, with only blue and green, of only pink and orange.
Something with colour, something with soul. Maybe youll be sad, but you wont feel gray anymore
What is my poetry if not a hundred different ways in which I’ve spelled your name?
"If you cannot be a poet, be the poem"
