Creature and food headcanon
I've been thinking. I believe Adam has the worst GI issues. In the movie, we hardly see him eat. What if he doesn't understand that people need to eat to survive? At least, not until the old man. I imagine that if Victor could get away with not feeding Adam, he would (not feed him). Victor says that all systems are functional, but I think Adam would continue living if he ate nothing at all... which is often the case. He probably forgets to eat and is barely aware of the fact that hunger is that constant gnawing in his stomach. Adam's poor stomach is not used to getting food. When he finally does get to eat, he probably throws it all up at first and gets severe cramps. Additionally, if you introduce too much of the wrong types of food to a starving person, it could kill them...
