so. out of whitetail's litter, sapkit, juniperkit, and goldenkit all die. nightcloud has three kits, breezekit, maplekit (smoky blue tom), and vanillakit (black tom with long fur), but maplekit and vanillakit are weak.

the truth comes out about crowfeather's kits with leafpaw, and webstar (in his infinite wisdom) decides to challenge thunderclan for them. yellowbreeze (nightcloud's littermate) and orangepaw die for this.

whitetail's surviving kits, heatherpaw, rockpaw, ashpaw, and cresspaw, are apprenticed to halotail, indigobird, iciclesun, and shadewing.

(oh, and, relatively minor, but patchpaw is reassigned to willowdawn since nightcloud is in the nursery.)

shadowclan — year two — leafbare

tigerstar is disposed of leadership, blackstar gets his nine lives, and makes russetfur his deputy.

applefur's litter becomes apprentices, but cypresspaw and sandpaw die in the great battle. berrypaw is apprenticed to jaggedtooth, cresspaw is apprenticed to brownthorn, and watchpaw is apprenticed to darkflower.

(i know jaggedtooth by every right should leave shadowclan, but let's say he plays both sides better. he's still a Bad Dude.)

streamkit and rosekit also die, for unrelated reasons.

tangleburr has three kits, rootkit, iriskit, and rainkit.

rowanpaw becomes a warrior after the great battle, recieving his name rowanclaw.

Updates on the Cresspaw/claw situation:

He is now trans!

He found a mate in Guinness, a former kittypet

Guinness cheated on him with a loner she met at the borders, but Cressclaw never found out about it

Another former kittypet named Birdie joined the Clan. Guinness ended up cheating with them, only this time Cressclaw found out because Guinness became pregnant (she and Cress can't have bio kits)

So to recap the total situation:

--Cress's father died when he was a kit

--Cress's mother died when he was an apprentice

--Cress's mentor disliked him and he didn't feel close to anyone in the Clan

--That is, until Guinness joined and finally Cress didn't feel so alone

--Only for that mate to cheat on him and for everyone in the Clan to know

Twilightthrush’s (94) kits have been made apprentices!  Bluepaw (6), as an earth-blessed cat, has been made a Healer apprentice, with Caterpillarmallow (40) as her mentor.  She is thrilled to be an apprentice and is busy telling Cresspaw (6) everything he’s been doing wrong. . .even though they’re training for completely different things.  Meanwhile, Cresspaw has been apprenticed to Antlersky (47), in order to give the young (ish) warrior her first apprentice.  Finally.  She doesn’t even mind that he’s magicless.  Brightfalcon (133) is starting to feel the strain of caring for kits when she’s an old lady.  She’s been bickering with Graykit (3) and recruits Bushmask (100) to watch Flurrykit (3) for a while.  Chervilcry (69) is happy being a mother and is enjoying spending time with her kits and mate.  Rosemaryquake (47) has also been bonding with her brothers and gives Graykit her favorite piece of prey.  Judaschaser (111), coming from outside the Clan, doesn’t quite understand why cats hate Yellowcreek (17) so much.  She enjoys spending time with him and even lets him watch the kits with her.  Bushmask was not thrilled when he came back from a patrol to find the young warrior playing with Graykit.  Airclaw (32) has been recruited to watch over Chervilcry’s kits.  She promises to protect them if anything attacks their camp.
