These are going to be stupidly long answers especially the first one, lol. Not sorry lawl 🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels? I’d say any ‘mind bleed/parasitic link’ moments between Nem and Jill. To explain cause context matters: Nem in this AU is a parasite in a Tyrant body and has the ability sort of like 3make to take over and puppeteer victims. Mind, I had this hc well before that version of the game but took it way farther, taking bits from the plagas ability to mind control but making it less insect that just burrows and grows and causes the host to act strangely near immediately after infestation, and more Nem can not only infest a person but stagger himself in zombifying a host hiding the effects longer. The person will not be aware, still acting human (and will eventually become zombified due to just being a T-viral creature) but will be quickly susceptible to having their free will hijacked, not realizing till it's too late the loss of their will. Nem and Zeus have the ability to speak in their victim’s mind before consuming and inevitably destroying it to make full room for themselves controlling the body. But Jill due to being t viral immune and having been previously infested with a part of Nemesis he purposely halted this process with does not get to the zombification step. This is all to say, Nemesis is in Jill, bonded to her internally. Being a brain parasite that can hijack thoughts/will, he doesn’t do so with her. But, he can speak to her, and in turn, her him. These moments started with Jill horrified/in shock at the realization of what this entails, and Nemesis in his refusal/not grasping the cruelty of what he has done are both busy arguing/asking pointed questions to each other. They have gone from the initial confusion to seeing each other’s memories and thoughts, and deeper fears and both are full of anger, pain, and resentment that neither wanted the other to see. Jill’s anger and seething rejection of his ‘gift’ wasn’t what Nemesis thought would happen, and her feeling so violated and vulnerable without the privacy of her own thoughts (which she at least had in her captivity to Wesker) is a main conflict. This on top of her and him both with each other an unwanted audience being forced to walk through their once private traumas leads to very heartbreaking conversations and pointed thoughts. One fic scene had him rummaging in Jill’s memories of her sitting in her battle suit amongst the Sonnentreppe flowers and praising her for being so good at killing as a compliment/flirt (and not grasping the context of her like that) and Jill angrily snarling that she is nothing like him, cutting Nemmy emotionally, mentally lashing out because she saw nothing good in being Wesker’s puppet. Or when she saw Nemesis' memories of himself lashing out at his brothers because of his impotent rage at the abuse he suffered at Father’s hands and Jill asking, ‘Is this how you react to anything? To just…destroy?’ to him later mockingly throwing it back at Jill when she wallows in anger/resentment at being great at fighting and that talent twisted to do such harm. It’s a toxic soup of two people sailing past each other in their (now) shared pain.

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart? Hmm. It’s a tie between Eaten Thoughts and Necromancy. Eaten Thoughts – Seeing Chris struggle to be a good man, loving Jill despite her withdrawing from everyone and holding lingering old resentment towards him he tries to ignore but knows it’s there, is so painful. He loves her, always have but is deep in the sunk cost fallacy of her just always being there and him trying to for her after failing her so poorly during STARS pre-Mansion (he had a 90’s anita hill situation to his knowledge and like a person of the time chose his male boss). So, you have this lonely man, having gone through a draining adventure in Africa and the person he loves just withdrawing all affection, and then there’s your new partner who lived it with you through those African fires, who acknowledges you, finds you interesting, attractive, who wants your company – and oops you now are in an affair. Both Chris and Sheva feel for the other but the guilt is inherent: Chris knowing he’s betrayed Jill (even saying her name during sex) and Sheva feeling afterward hurt, but still longing for Chris is just pain. Necromancy - This one is pain but unlike the other two is very self-inflicted on the part of Nemmy. Nemesis is causing his own misery, desperate to keep Jill warm, safe, protected (very important arc words), keeping her ‘happy’ and never letting her get to feeling pain, never having to feel as lost as she felt during/after Africa, him replaying the ‘good’ times in Raccoon between the two, and when things got too upsetting for her him – bad memories of hers/his, maybe causing Jill an ‘accidental’ death at his hands ect – Nemesis rewrites if not outright erases them, destroys the ‘bad’ memories to save her but ultimately he deep down knows this isn’t making either of them any happier. But he needs to pretend his Everything is good, his Queen is warm, safe and protected, trapping both in that pained lie. 💞 Who's your comfort character? It's a tie between Nemesis and my oc Zeus. Both are the characters I get into headspace for the easiest oddly because of their inhuman qualities. I feel most comfortable not moored by human restraints and tapping into the chaos in Zeus’ mind, but also the at times justified, deep and heavy overwhelming rage of Nemesis (and even his more ungainly parts such as his unchecked blood/lust and vulnerabilities he shows). They are both such emotionally and physically destructive creatures that do not quite think or desire like humans which is fun for me to get into. 💖 What made you start writing? Writing fic? Because I loved the idea of these two together so strongly, I had to. I am a creature fueled by motivation and seeing this big thing with this fighter of a woman made me jump at writing despite initially hating the activity. First it was just porn, but then the idea of ‘what if serious?’ happened, and seeing that no one was going to – sure a porny rapey Nem is okay but is boring to me and too easy to write, and the other fics I found just made him a comedy character or a pet. I wanted a fleshed-out creature that was threatening, truly inhuman yet could hold emotions and to then by extension play out how a human woman could want him without throwing away the lore. And so I went, ‘hold my beer’ and my love for this idea made me write and continues to motivate me. Whew, this was super long! Thanks for the ask! (in response to this)

Proud of Capcom for including a female woman of color in one of their videogames - and I hope to see her return in future ones - as she's quite the badass.  I for one would like to see more videogame developers include diversity in their cast.
