He needs to break something.

So he does. Stupidly. It’s when all the shards of green glass end up in his hand does he realize he should not punch an empty wine bottle. he doesn’t even bother picking the glass out. It doesn’t even fulfill him in the slightest. He grabs another bottle by the neck and smashes it into the ground -- of course, in his blind frustration, he didn’t realize he picked up a full bottle, and there’s shatters of glass and bright red wine everywhere.

He sits there in that hopeless puddle he made for himself, and just sighed, carefully plucking glass out of his hand. Well. This will be a mess to clean. Not that the one he had in mind would be any better. And yet nothing feels resolved. Nothing ever feels resolved. The feelings are bubbling up harder and harder. He can stand it no longer.

“I need to go.” He finally said.

Dante plucked the last piece of glass out, and just stands up. “I just-- I need to get out of this place.” It was his own house -- but he decides not to have that argument with himself of all people. He doesn’t want to even try. He leaves the mess, and lets himself stay covered in red wine.

It’s raining when he leaves. Of course it is. Perfect. He hugs his jacket to himself and just leaves the building before he can think about how stupid this is right now. It doesn’t matter. He’s going to a graveyard, so it’s better when nobody is there to see him cry anyway.
