The Queen’s Croquet Ground - Chapter 8
Alice enters a garden ruled by the Queen of Hearts, who constantly threatens executions for the smallest mistakes. The card gardeners panic as they paint white roses red to avoid punishment, showing how terrified everyone is of the Queen.
Alice joins a croquet game, but the match is chaotic. Flamingos serve as mallets and bend away whenever used. Hedgehogs act as balls and wander off, and the card soldiers forming the arches shift around because they are afraid. No one follows any rules, and everyone focuses solely on avoiding the Queen’s anger.
Despite the disorder, Alice begins to feel more confident. She questions the Queen’s behavior and notices that many of her dramatic threats are not actually carried out.

Si la croqueta te parece un bocado poco finolis para servirlo como entrante navideño, tal vez esta versión deconstruida te quite esa idea loca de la cabeza.

‘Your best teacher is your last mistake’
OK….I made them for dinner but I ate one already. It was the last one I made and it was smaller than the others so it didn’t make it in the photo. :) My family has been making these for as long as I can remember. We always loved when our Mama or Nanny made these, probably because the ketchup came out and my sister and I were ketchup junkies. She used to squeeze it into her mouth like I do with whipped topping.
The are very simple to prepare. For a lighter version spray a muffin pan with cooking spray and bake. They will still be great just not as crispy.:)
Stuff you need:
2 1/2-3 cups salmon, finely flaked (equivalent to 2 cans, drained, bones and skin removed)
1 cup panko crumbs
1/3 cup roasted red pepper
1/4 cup parmesan, grated
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
olive oil
How To Do It:
Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl
Shape into 3″ cakes
Add olive oil to cover bottom of large skillet
Set burner to Medium-HI and cook cakes until brown and crispy on both sides
Place on paper towel lined plate and let cool
Put them in a pretty serving dish :)
Normally I add green onions but (smacking head) I forgot. We like ours with ketchup but I’m thinkin’ maybe a sweet Asian chili sauce or even a spicy sriracha may be pretty good too.
Enjoy. Have a fabulous day :)
