For the more detailed drawing I tried something more painterly to give it more of a storybook vibe, since these two would be perfect for a cute storybook, imo!

🌕 CROW MOON of MARCH 🌕
The full Moon of March has several names connected to it. Some of the more popular ones are:
⚪ SAP MOON – as March is the time to tap maple trees ⚪ CRUST MOON – as the thawing snow forms a crusty surface on the ground ⚪ WORM MOON – as warmer ground brings on the earthworms to the surface ⚪ CROW MOON – as crow cawing is heard signaling end of Winter ⚪ EATH MOON – as it is the last full Moon in Winter ⚪ CHASTE MOON – as this Moon heralds the birth of Spring, time of rejuvenation and light ⚪ LANTEN MOON - because the Christian calendar cites the time from Ash Wednesday in February, to Easter Sunday in April, as the season of Lent.

p.s. A young crow vocalized the language of love through a variety of sounds. Sounds of laughter, cooing calls ending with playful banter all meant to tease the universe, to tease all of us to remember spring, love and creativity. Nature speaks love in myriad ways.

Y’all, I think this is my favorite name for a full moon. It’s most commonly called the Worm Moon, but it’s also known as the Crow Moon. It’s also known as the Sap and Sugar Moon, the Plough Moon, and the Lenten Moon, all relating to the coming of spring and the awakening of nature. It’s also called the Death Moon, which is metal as hell but I can’t figure out how that ties into the whole spring thing. My sources say it’s either the death of winter or Caesar, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
