Hey guys,,finished painting yayy
not me thinking about mr az “lover of earthly pleasures and human comforts like food, wine, books, music, clothing, magic, etc” fell experiencing one of the greatest of human comforts, a kiss from someone you love, and wanting to experience it again forever & ever
Maybe I’m just too biased because he’s my blorbo but I really don’t understand where the whole “Aziraphale is selfish” thing came from.
If there’s one thing about religion, it’s the glorification of selflessness; if there’s one thing about Aziraphale, it’s that he’s had religious guilt forever.
“If I’m in charge, I can make a difference.”
I feel like this line in the S2 finale gets overlooked a lot. Aziraphale isn’t choosing Heaven over Crowley, he’s choosing to try and change the very system that has caused a lot of the suffering they’ve witness throughout the show and the reason Crowley is a demon [despite him being kind in Aziraphale’s eyes].
And isn’t it the opposite of selfish? To not let yourself have everything you’ve built for yourself and loved for the past 6,000 years — in an attempt to improve life for everyone and prevent the end of the world? Hurting/fighting with Crowley was a tragic consequence (can’t think of a more accurate word atm) but I never thought of it as selfish. It was unavoidable, Crowley would — understandably — never rejoin Heaven.
If we’re going to talk about his faults, we should talk about how he has let his religious obligations and guilt dictate his words. He has said some hurtful things to Crowley throughout the years. But back to the S2 finale —
Aziraphale could never be content abandoning such an opportunity. Even though he’s going to be fucking miserable in Heaven and without his other half, he still went. He literally cannot resist the chance to do good, and not Heaven’s version of good, but the kind that actually cares for people.
Getting just one lil sketch in today.
any padded headcanons about crowley?
Waaa I haven't quite finished watching the show buuut I do have a huge soft spot for that devil lad ;w;
Aziraphale totally has the cutest cloth diapers for Crowley! The angel thinks cloth are more cute, so many more patterns one can find or even make! Def some patterned with bently's, florals, snakes, all the things that little devil likes!
Crowley sometimes fusses with dips bc/ those skinny jeans of his aren't the most stenchiest xD But, all the more reason for comfy cloths (or even dress/skirts) for him!
Haaates the sensation of wetness and he will let it be known! He or Azir could easily miracle it away but, the changing aspect is huge for them. It's a gentle and caring moment between the two, a lot of trust Crow is giving to Azir in that moment (Of course, Crow will be all pouty over cold wipes but, Azir will just coo over him and promise him that they're almost done, his little one will be nice and dry once more in just a moment ;w; )

“-too slow,” Aziraphale wailed. “- going too slow -”
“There’s no going too slow for you,” Crowley said kindly, stroking his cheek. He leaned closer, feeling the erratic pants against the skin of his face. “Slowest angel I know. Come back to me.”

i wake up, i am sad about good omens, i look at good omens to feel better, it makes me sad, i go sleep, i wake up, the cycle repeats
