lunar crystal elixir 🧪

an elixir is defined as a magical or medicinal solution or potion. you can use the phases of the moon to set the intention for the elixir and add charged crystals to it for increased power and to act as a battery for the elixir. keep in mind this is not potable or meant to be consumed!

new moon - renewal, cleansing, new beginnings, healing, inner peace, harmony

crystals - amber, amethyst, ametrine, angel aura quartz, aquamarine, blue tourmaline, calcite, fluorite, hematite, jade, rose quartz, sapphire, topaz, turquoise, vauxite

waxing moon - abundance, gain, attraction, positivity, prosperity, wealth, luck

crystals - agate, aqua aura quartz, bloodstone, carnelian, chrysoprase, citrine, diamond, halite, ruby, sapphire, sunstone, tiger’s eye, tsavorite 

full moon - power, manifestation, enlightenment, psychic awareness

crystals - amazonite, clear quartz, fluorite, lapis lazuli, moonstone, mother of pearl, labradorite, milky quartz, selenite, silver, tanzine aura quartz, angel aura quartz

waning moon - banishing, reassessment, letting go, rest, completion

black moon - extra power, magical boost, catalyst

caution: some crystals may deteriorate when placed in water, ruining the crystal and possibly releasing harmful toxins into the water - please do your research, and if this is a risk with any of the crystals you’re using, try the indirect (passive) method instead.

the indirect or passive method consists of placing your chosen crystals outside of the jar of moon water and letting it charge that way. 

how to use:

anointing yourself or other objects

add to spell jars

add a drop or two to your bath water / mop bucket / washing machine

As a gift I gave one of my coven members a crystal elixir for their water colors, but the exchange went down more like:

Me: Here's some water for your paint-

Friend: I LOVE IT, THANK YOU!

I then proceeded to explain what it actually did, but I thought it was funny they were fine with a jar of plain water!

Anxiety Reduction Crystal Elixir

What you will need:

- A jar

- Moon Water

- Amethyst

- Clear Quartz

- Rose Quartz

- Citrine (optional)

Hi guys :) As some of you may know I have an anxiety disorder.  While I advocate for professional treatment (if your budget allows it), I also love the idea of using witchcraft in addition to other methods for helping myself cope!

So onto the elixir!   

I came up with this when thinking about my own anxiety.  I used waxing crescent moon water to help myself with personal growth.  Here’s the ‘recipe’!

1. Place your moon water into a jar (I used one I got from Dave and Busters, any jar will work!).  The moon water I used for this recipe was fro a waxing crescent.

2. Add in the rose quartz (for self love), clear quartz (the master healer) and amethyst (for fighting anxiety).  In addition to this you may also add in citrine (for happiness and positivity).  Please note that before you ever make any sort of crystal elixir to look up the solubility of your crystals and minerals in water.  Some may become damaged, others can be toxic!  This specific elixir is meant to go on the skin, not to be ingested.

3. Very lightly, swirl the water with your fingertip and repeat “my anxiety cannot bring me down”.

4. When you feel anxious, dab a little water on your forehead to ward off the unhappy and unwanted thoughts.

Masterpost of Simple Beginner Friendly Potions

Here is a masterpost of a ton of potions I have in my grimoire that are simple and easy to make with simple easy to get ingredients. 

Tea Potions

Headache Relief Potion

Lemon Wedge

Steps: Add herbs to hot water and let them steep for a few minutes. Squeeze in lemon then let the wedge and skin soak for another 1 or 2 before drinking. 

Sour Tummy Be Gone Potion

Chamomile Tea

Spoonful of Honey

Steps: Brew tea then add herbs to it, let them steep for 5 minutes before stirring in your honey counter-clockwise to banish the cramps and sourness in your stomach. 

Deep Slumber Potion

Steps: Brew tea then add in herbs to steep for 5 to 6 minutes, add sugar or honey to taste. Drink slowly before bed in a quiet place.

Steps: Brew your tea or warm your rose water. Pour in milk and sugar to taste and stir it clockwise to welcome in your own love. Drink while doing something you enjoy.

Release from a Bad Day Potion

Steps: Brew and steep your tea and catnip, squeeze in your lemon and stir it counter clockwise to banish the negativity that the day has given you. Add sugar or honey to taste

Give My Heart Strength Potion

Steps: Brew tea and let orange peel steep for 5 minutes, stir in your honey clockwise to bring yourself emotional strength.

Open My Mind Awareness Potion

Steps: Brew tea and add ingredients. Sit in a quiet place and drink the tea slowly while centering yourself and if you can meditate.

None of these potions are made with the crystals in the water! I ALWAYS put my crystals around a jar or cup of water to charge over night. SOME OF THESE CRYSTALS SHOULD NEVER GO IN WATER!!! So please just place them around your jar of water over night, not in it.
