Sneak Peak; Upcoming Trauma (Poll Winner)
“Are you sure it’s here?” Flora already knew the answer as she placed a hand against the thick oak doors.
“Positive.” Sky said, inspecting the symbols carved into the wood.
“There has to be another way in.” Bloom was fidgeting with her hands nervously, “I- I can’t-“
Aisha took her hand to try and calm her down, “We’ll go in and-“
“No! You can’t go in without me! This was my idea, this is my- I can’t let you risk your lives without me! We have no idea what’s in there if the Crystal Labyrinth is even real at all. I can’t let you go in without me!”
Stella sighed, “Bloom, we either go in without you or we don’t go in at all. This is our fight just as much as it is yours. If this has even a chance of working… then we have to try.”
“I don’t like you going in without backup.” Riven begrudingly admitted.
“We’ll be fine.” Musa told them, “We have to do this.”
“There’s probably a reason only Enchantix fairies can go in.” Tecna continued, Nabu and Timmy helping her over a few crooked roots, “We’ll stick together and you guys know we can take care of ourselves. We got this.”
“It isn’t the physical danger that worries me.” Helia spoke for the first time since they’d touched down in the eerie clearing, “My grandmother used to tell me stories about this Labyrinth before she passed away… it shows everyone something different but… no one comes out the same as they went in.”
At that, the girls exchanged glances.
They’d already changed so much. Suffered so much. Had so many things ripped away from them.
Could they truly bear more?
But it didn’t matter. They had to.
They would.
Aisha was the first to square her shoulders, squeezing Bloom’s hand again and looking at the boys, “We’ll be alright.”
The five girls went to stand before the entrance.
They had no idea what to expect. No idea what they’d have to do to recover the Water Stars… if they even existed.
Even the Company of Light didn’t seem to know much about this.
But they would figure it out. It was what they always did.
They’d survive.
