Ma che cos’è il Nord della #Thailandia? Vivo ogni minuto di questo viaggio senza caricarlo di alcuna particolare aspettativa. Ma, ve lo dico, alla provincia di #chiangmai si può chiedere molto, senza temere d’essere delusi. Chiang Mai stessa è bella da morì. Uscire al mattino presto e entrare per primi nel complesso del tempio del #CrystalBuddha e del Buddha in marmo di 2800 anni fa è stato divino. E non c’è altro da dire. I templi sono tantissimi, qui. Ogni decoro urla bellezza, ogni fiore perfezione, ogni colore meraviglia. A Chiang Mai abbiamo pure beccato una mega festa, quindi ci siamo goduti anche la fiera di paese: cibo, casino e persone; tanto di tutto, normalmente dentro, attorno o vicino al giardino di un tempio. Ma Chiang Mai vuol dire anche Parco Nazionale. Vuol dire #trekking, immersi in una natura che ripaga ogni passo, ogni fatica nell’umido e nel caldo, con forza, potenza, acqua, piante, animali. Tutto sano. Tutto VIVO. Per una volta, vale la pena anche per viaggiatori non troppo convenzionali, lasciarsi portare da chi organizza gite e scegliere, fra le tante opzioni possibili, quella più adatta a sè. Noi ci siamo scoppiati una dozzina di km piuttosto wild, il primo giorno, anche incrociando elefanti al lavoro, serpenti verdi sottili e bufali a bagno; poi, il secondo giorno, siamo saliti di quota, facendo un po’ più di viaggio in auto, quindi due ore di #PhaDokSiew, sentiero tenuto a regola d’arte, fra #bambù, #caffè, cascate, risaie, ficus mangioni e villaggi #Kareen. Il #doiinthanon è anche la vetta più alta della Thailandia, 2565 metri celebrati da #QueenandKingPagodas e un giardino meraviglioso, dove i cavoli sono belli quanto i fiori più belli. Si è quasi in Birmania, lassù. Cambiano gli occhi delle persone e i colori degli abiti, anche nel mercato #Hmong. E fa freddo. Per due giorni siamo stati accompagnati da persone squisite, che non si sono risparmiate mai. Vero è che ci sarebbe voluto un altro massaggio dai monaci del tempio del centro città, per chiudere in bellezza. Ma, si sa, non tutto è possibile.
