And just yesterday I released my very own game editor: ct.js 🎉 It provides visual editors coupled with powerful code library to create any kind of 2D games. It is well-documented, has tutorials and is bundled with open-sourced demos. Available for Windows, Linux and Mac.
Your projects are exported as browser games; the code is written in JavaScript. The core library is easily extendable by modules, which can be enabled or disabled in just 1 click. Different games can be created here, though there is no tile-focused editor (for now) and you will have hard times creating sophisticated RPGs :)
