The plot line for every fake relationship and enemies to lovers story, *cough* such as Cordial Enemies.
ABSOLUTELY FOOLPROOF: “You’re not a spy, are you?”
“Nyet.”
I have a cunning plan.....
Chapter 978: FLUFFY COAT SPOILER!!!
(well, we saw it the last two chapters, so not really a spoiler, but look at it. It’s so fluffy!).
All is good in the world when those feathers fan that handsome brooding face, and look at the Scabbards treating the Polar Tang like an underwater tour of tropical seas! Is it Shachi? Penguin? Pointing out the clown fish and sea snakes to O-Kiku and Kawamatsu, and there’s Ashura Doji leaning in. And these guys are huge!
Of course Jean Bart and Bepo are too, but just what kinda warehouse (not whorehouse) is the Polar Tang? Gives the Tardis a run for the money.
Anyway, it’s a really cosy panel and I love it. If you’ve read One Piece Party Vol 6 (or parts of it), maybe Law has Corazon stamped on the back of his jacket and Raizo’s trying to decipher the foreign text with that look he’s giving him, but I and the panel below digress.
Back on track...Talk about capricious. Law’s throwing out some major mixed messages here. Go back to the first panel, then recall
Chapter 976:
I have seen ‘garrison’ rather than ‘hotel’ and it seems a better fit. I can’t access the official translation, so I’ll have to go with this. Anyway, Law doesn’t want the Samurai aboard Polar Tang, despite being the one to actually put them there by surfacing under them and saving their foolish hides in chapter 974.
Chapter 977
And then, just in case they didn’t actually get the message:
Though to be fair, Law wants them to hurry through strategy and then gtfo of his sub.
But then, two seconds later, saving face for Kin’emon in the process, he unfolds this plan.
So maybe it’s a slip up in translation, and it’s not get off my ship but get into the bowels of my tin can. Or Law’s just capacious capricious *cough*, as said. Captain’s prerogative. Might be doing a Timothy Leary. Turn on, Tune in, Drop out. It is a Yellow Submarine after all. Or he’s really contemplating how best to get Raizo to teach him ninjutsu.
And I think he really wanted to show off the sub and treat the Wano samurai to the wonders of modern technology and tropical fish. Though they’re probably not in the tropics and Raizo’s seen it before. The Polar Tang’s going deeper than that, so the crew member is showing them what? Mermaids? Selkies? Their brethren?
However, the Hearts are proud of their sub, and hospitable to their visitors, and Law’s thinking about his jacket (and how to be a ninja) almost as much as I am.
Alternatively, Raizo is coveting the coat—or Law—as much as any self-respecting fan-thang out there.
Challenge #02524-F334: An Appeal
"On this show we talk about humans, and for the most part it's scary stuff. But not today. Because there is one thing you can't say to a human, "you can't"
Today we will tell the story of a human who was told, "You can't save everyone. You will just die trying" " -- Hyorky
Go hard or go home, -- Terran saying.
The two most fate-inducing words to say to a Human are, you can't. Humans will defy logic, reason, and the laws of physics to prove that they can. Even when given reasons why not, they will simply endure that and emerge at the other end, bloody and victorious. Sometimes... they pay for those victories with more than blood.
Human pack-bonding flows both ways. They want you to be friends with them. They want you to like them. And despite this, they know that it will hurt us more when they pay for our lives with theirs. Humans have a culture steeped in self-sacrifice for the greater good, and we must all remember that. At Cestus Two, we forgot, and it almost cost our Human Lar her life.
