Vectis Scrapmaster by @gollumni A perfectly fine entry that just didn’t manage to stand apart from the crowd.
Crucible Delver by @hypexion My Issue with this card is how easily artifact based decks can fill the graveyard. Giving artifacts Psuedo-delve is a very dangerous prospect for an uncommon.
Ada, Nature’s Artificer by @i-am-the-one-who-wololoes This golgari spin on Riku had a single major flaw; the oversight of not putting “Nontoken” in the ability. This lets the card make it’s loops off it’s own ability. Especially when it comes to the second ability and how you can form even more loops with creatures like Priest of Gix and any sacrifice outlet.
Jaydis, Etherial Rogue by @ignorantturtlegaming This cool bant commander had a design choice that I could simply not fathom. Why does she have modular? She’s not an artifact creature, and she doesn’t do anything with artifact creatures. I also think her activated ability is rather overcosted, seeing as a lot of mainstay commander equipment only costs 5-6 to play and equip anyway. I saw where you were going with this design, but I think you needed a more focused design.
Undiscovered Artist by @jsands84 I am floored by how insanely broken this card is. While a single copy of this card is in your graveyard, your treasures are now black lotuses. With a second copy in your graveyard, they now produce nine mana. And it’s not as if you can stop the effect with removal. You need dedicated graveyard hate or your opponent is going to crack a single treasure and Exsanguinate for about 25 on turn 4.
Coraten, Cyborg Crafter by @kavinika If you had of used any word other than “Cyborg”, you may have taken one of the top spots. unfortunately, cyborg crosses the line when it comes to magic’s Magic/Science threshold. While I’m aware that we have cyborgs in magic, they are only in silver border, and I can’t see them crossing into black border any time soon.
Skurgi, Forge Feeder by @koth-of-the-hammerpants This is a really cool idea, but the number of creatures this makes is absolutely insane. Partnered with the active ability means you could annihilate someone incredibly quickly
Boneforge Heretic by @machine-elf-paladin This is another fantastic design that narrowly missed the mark for the mechanical entry. Great work.
Spikebeard, Master of Anvil by @nicolbolas96 This is a cool idea that falls short when it comes to generating energy. if this is your only energy generator, then it’s going to cost you twice the mana cost of an artifact to get a “free” one from the top of your deck.
Highspire Prosthetist by @mistershinyobject Another very cool design that fell just short of taking the top spot. Very cool design.
