I think y’all severely under estimate people’s willingness/ability to read signs.
Here’s some examples from work alone:
We have a sign in the bathroom that says “no paper towels in toilet”. We still have to call the plumber twice a week.
We have 3 signs that say “please put dishes in the black bins under the green table”. Dirty dishes end up in front of the sign, behind the sign, next to the trash, at the register, and more than once- on the floor next to the empty bin.
We have a sign at the register that says “there is no password for the WiFi! The WiFi name is: [insert WiFi name].” The most common question I get asked is from people who have been to the register or are standing in front of the register “what’s the WiFi password?”
We have a large sign on the door and a sign taped to the register desk that says “we do not take cash”. The most customer complaints I’ve ever received are from who are mad that they had no idea that we do not take cash.
My brothers in Christ, it said so on the sign.
